Hey beauties!!! Just a quick note: the elastic band method is better for SHORT, TWA hair. The flat twists (or cornrows) are best for LONGER hair. This is simply because when your hair is short, you don't really have to worry about blending both textures. Thanks so much for watching! Don't forget to share ❤️❤️❤️
I made this work for me, I have shoulder length hair. I added products to my natural hair as well as the synthetic hair and braided it in smaller plaits and it blended with the hair. I would suggest darker shades as opposed to lighter shades for blending longer hair. That's just me.
@@wifeyb.9779 Why knock someone down. She's nice enough to make these videos showing how to do styles like this, and not everyone is going to spend 500$ on hair.
I loved it finished it this morning! I just got different color hair than my natural brown hair. I bought black so I was not able to leave edges out. Made me sad lol. I wanted to know how long this style lasted you? and did you manipulate the hair alot? I want my style to at least last 4th of july. should I avoid manipulation?
Yasss girl!! And just make sure your take good care of it. Like Leslie said, check out my night routine in the description box. Just a side note: I never combed it out. I only finger detangled and re-plaited 😉 Glad you love it! And thanks for watching ❤️❤️
What do you guys think of me doing a Q&A video concerning this method?? 🤔 I promised that I would answer all of your questions and I'm really trying to get to each, but I don't think I can respond to all of them here in the comments. I'll combine questions from this video and the previous $5 one. Let me know! And thanks so much for your comments ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'ma try this, hands down best crochet style I've seen. But your skin, omg, please do tutorials on your skincare products, your skin looks super smooth and flawless.
Please don't do this if you're hair is too much longer than hers. I tried it at armpit length hair and blending was horrible cause my hair is so thick and the length made it hard to remove. Looked kinda nice tho. But not worth the taking out time and tangling for longer hair. Great idea for shorter hair ONLY
cuterthaneva101 I had a feeling lol. I originally did this method for short hair/TWAs, hoping it'll also work for longer hair. But thanks for letting me know it's limited to short hair. I'll be sure to mention it in my next video. Crocheting onto cornrows/flat twists are definitely the solution for longer hair 🙂
AriEla Dynasty I actually put a link to ur $5 video in my last STORYTIME on my channel, I inserted a pic of ur thumbnail too! At the 1:48 mark. But sis! 🤗 Thanx 2 u! I finessed this hairstyle...but I agree with the comment above...my hair did not blend well at all! It's like my natural hair was "poofy" thru the weave. So I had to wear a scarf or camouflage it with bobby pins. It lasted 1 week though. I thank you so much for these vids & tips tho. I just think the blending on different types of hair is the issue. & like she said, & the length of my real hair...I wonder what could be a solution for this tho? 🤔
Frenchi' J. Oh fr? Cool! I'll definitely check it out 😊 And I'm really trying to figure out what could be a possible solution as well. But thanks for commenting and leaving your feedback! Stay bless ❤️

I just got finished doing my hair like this last night. I must say first I love it thank you for sharing. Now, I have to tell you my struggle and how I overcame and maybe this will help somebody else out. I originally started plaiting the hair like you did with my products i use and putting the hair in hot water. no problem there. the problem i ran into was separating the hair after it had the curl effect. it was getting tangled real bad! so the next pack of hair i left it straight and crochet it in, and bam!!! it was a lot smoother process no tangles and when i was done. i just followed your steps with the hair products ( some improvised, i couldn't find that pomede) lol. this morning when i took it down for work it was awesome! so thanks again girl and i will try to upload a picture later! ....oh yeah my hair is super long and natural so i braided my hair up instead of the twisting method.
Inner Beauty she said she added leave in cond. and oil then braided added mousse and dipped in hot water , maybe that's why she had no problem of separating
omg thank you for posting this. i tried this style last year and had the same problem and just gave up lol i have so much braiding hair leftover, i will try your method. thanks!
Can you do a video on how you prepped the hair to get the curl pattern? I see that you braid and boil it , but how'd you section it ? how long did you leave it in the water for?
I braided my hair in the back as if I was doing regular crochet because it's longer and left the top out. I was about to try it all over once I washed it and oiled it. Everyone loved this look on me. Especially the 2 part buns with leave out in the back. I also did my niece hair like yours in the first video because hers was really short. She was a doll. I love this style.
ok so i used to get sew ins n i hated how much it costed and how my head hurt afterward and how i couldnt get a good clean n now im seeing all these crochet methods n im so excited to try them out like girl..u look like u have a sew in buh its not and its just as beautiful! im definately trying this and it looks alot lighter and better for your hair and not to mention way cheaper cause i can definitely do this myself! love your channel too!this definately helped me alot!

This style came out soooooo cute. I’m doing my 1st crochet project on my mom right now (pray for me) so I haven’t mastered the technique just yet but I’m sure I’ll become infatuated and do a style on my daughter and then myself. I like how you really slowed down the doubled knotting part because I was a little confused on why the ones I’m installing just were NOT staying tight! I still have the front of her hair to do. So perfect timing on the perfection of it. Thanks for this video! I’ll be subscribing to keep updated with knee styles and tips. ☺️
Ari and Ela it turned out great actually! Of course no perfection on my first go. But practice makes perfect, right? Thanks for the virtual help lol. 😘
I loved your technique of flat twisting, definitely prefer it over cornrows simply because it’s faster and I’m not that great at cornrowing. I wish you had shown the cutting and thinning out on camera because I could have benefited from learning how you did that. You did an amazing job on this and I’m impressed at how great it turned out using a simple technique.
Thank you sooooooo much 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 for showing me this product! I just got home from work and it was on my bed and I tried it right away . And girlll let me tell you , this product is AMAZINGGGGGGGG! I have veryyy coarse 4c hair and edge control can barely tame my edges , but these just layeddd them . I even tried the little freeze and it worked !
Hopefully my local beauty shop store has this hair or something similar. After I take the jamaican bounce style out this will be my next style for sure. I love it, I've rarely get sew ins because the prices for the hair and weave are outrageous but you really restored that. Thank You!

Ari and Ela hi my I have a quick question about this style. My hair is long all over my head like all together my hair is about 5 inches past past my armpits. So do you think it would still work?
I did this but I made elastic cornrows since my hair is longer and I absolutely loved this hair. I didn't even dip it, I just braided and unbraided each day. It was amazing. Had it in for two weeks because it did start to tangle.
this is the best video for someone like me with the same hair length who also cant braid! omg i am so happy i found you! thnak you so much for making this!
I love how creative she is. I'm doing this, tomorrow. I've already braided my hair and dipped it in hot water. I can't wait for the end result. Thanxxx love 😘
terra searcy funny you say that; I was actually thinking of sewing two flat twists together to make my side part closer! But I didn't bother because I ended up doing a flip over instead of a distinct side part. 🙂
I definitely have to try this! I just got my hair cut for the first time in May (I had so much damage, that a trim wasn't enough *sad face* lol), so I'm dealing with a TWA right now. I'm really excited to do this!
Thanks for giving us TWAs a solution to crochet braids. I was really wondering how to do this because my hair is short at the moment. Asante sana, thank you so much! Will try it out and see!
I've been binging your guys videos today and ffs, you are gorgeous and your gap is like mine and for the first time in my adult life I find yours adorable and mine not so horrible. So. Good video, loved the hair and your technique. Also, subscribed lol
I did this and I loved it!! Definitely not going to do the rubber bands again my hair was little to long but other than that looked good!❤️ thank you !

AriEla Dynasty you didnt explain how u slept in the hair. 😩. Did u re-braid it everynight?
Shook doesn’t even express how much I am taken aback. This is so fucking gorgeous!
Hahaha thank you! ♥️
Still don’t get how I curled it? Check out my new video! 👉🏾 ruclips.net/video/k3cGy2KTq1A/видео.html
Hey can you review goodies organics too please? Like pretty pretty please? Lol it's black owned too!!
I know this may be unrelated, but when you said, "30 degrees," did you mean 30 degrees Celsius( 86 degrees Fahrenheit, XD)
Its all fun and stuff till i get to the point - how should i take it off ? 😃😃 Please, can someone give a description on that part ?
Ari and Ela hi my I have a quick question about this style. My hair is long all over my head like all together my hair is about 5 inches past past my armpits. So do you think it would still work?
I did this but I made elastic cornrows since my hair is longer and I absolutely loved this hair. I didn't even dip it, I just braided and unbraided each day. It was amazing. Had it in for two weeks because it did start to tangle.
MrsPO Girrrl you is smart 😎 I'm glad it came out great for you! Tfw ❤️
30 degrees is too hot?!? I'm confused about that
MSNOLLY1 Maybe 30°C :)
MSNOLLY1 celcius not fahrenheit
MSNOLLY1 30degrees Celsius is 86 degrees Fahrenheit
They're right haha! I'm Canadian so we use Celsius 😄
lol...I was wondering too...
this is the best video for someone like me with the same hair length who also cant braid! omg i am so happy i found you! thnak you so much for making this!
Awnn thanks so much!!! ❤️
wait but in the pony tail it looks like there's leave out
Itsjustjordin There's no leave out, just a combination of slicked down edges and the knot less method 😉
AriEla Dynasty what's the knot less method? Is that the invisible method you mentioned?? Thanks
Jenay Thanks!
I should be watching her do her hair but I cant get past how beautiful her skin is. 😍
Awnn thank you!! ❤️
is there any other gel that you would suggest
+Bria Dickerson The only gel I love is Eco styler. But you can also use gorilla snot gel if your really wanna lay your edges down 😉
AriEla Dynasty and how long does this last
Bria Dickerson it depends on your hair everyone is different
The comments crack me up!!! Buts it is definitely extraordinary to see such a transformation.... hair has changed from when I was a kid.... amazing
"you could stab somebody with this " 😂😂😂great video

Annette Goka You're the second person to tell me that lol! I can't see it, but thanks! ☺️💕
Ari and Ela holyyyy you dooo😮😮
I love how creative she is. I'm doing this, tomorrow. I've already braided my hair and dipped it in hot water. I can't wait for the end result. Thanxxx love 😘
Yayy! And thank you 😘😘
@@AriandEla No problem... I just did mines yesterday. It turned out really cute but nappy lol. It needs some maintenance
This is exactly the video I was looking for to do my new look thank you!! Great tutorial.
🙌🏾😘♥️♥️
im thinking the twist looked loose enough they you maybe could've pulled your part closer together
terra searcy funny you say that; I was actually thinking of sewing two flat twists together to make my side part closer! But I didn't bother because I ended up doing a flip over instead of a distinct side part. 🙂
AriEla Dynasty.
Amazing! I definitely need to try this! And I just have to add that your make up is FLAWLESS!
I love this ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Tierra Hagler I'm glad 😊😊❤️❤️

I definitely have to try this! I just got my hair cut for the first time in May (I had so much damage, that a trim wasn't enough *sad face* lol), so I'm dealing with a TWA right now. I'm really excited to do this!
+Stacy Chambers Yasss! This is perfect for TWAs 😁😁
+AriEla Dynasty thats why I subscribed to you so quickly. You know the struggle 😂😂
Cus that looked too real wth
Thanks for giving us TWAs a solution to crochet braids. I was really wondering how to do this because my hair is short at the moment. Asante sana, thank you so much! Will try it out and see!
My pleasure! Thanks for watching 😊
