Aimed at the young generation! Don't forget us oldies. I bought a Renault 5 Turbo in the mid 80's. It was the first car I bought brand new and to this day, I think it was the best car I have owned even better than the Clio Williams 2 I bought when it came out. I will be putting in an order and will be looking forward to seeing the Alpine model.
This thing is going to please a lot of people. Nostalgic oldies like us who grew up with the big sister R5 but also young drivers who want modern features bundled with vintage looks (because let's face it, current mass produced cars are either 😴 or 🫣). I'm really not worried about the sales volume if price tag is contained for the entry model.
Fabulous welcome back 5! Love Renault still have very fond memories of another icon the 16 another fabulous Renault with a great engine and comfort.Renault are back and the Megane looks cool too. Vive la Regie!
Producer it with an lpg and/or petrol engine. Electric; there no infrastructuur in many countries for that and people in cities, apartments and flats have no own electric charging station because they have no garden... And the full option 150hp couldn't cost more than € 29.995,-. It's not an SUV, it's an A segment of small B segment car. Time to produce cars that people can afford, instead of making overpriced retro models.
Great many thanks to Elon Musk and Tesla for changing the world in so many ways. The competition is on and we customers will gain from better products and lower prices. Just as in the computer and phone area.
🤨 no DC charging on the 40kWh version. Meaning 3 hours to charge 15%-100% with the on-board 11kW AC. Very silly and cheap from Renault. This 40kWh version will probably have an actual range of 136 miles/220 km (100%-15%, at 4 miles/kWh or 16kWh/100km like the current e-tech platform). No one is going to wait for 3 hours on a leg of a trip. This basically means that the 40kWh Renault 5 cannot be used for long distance trips. 😢 Come on Renault, it’s not 2010 anymore…🤦🏻♂️

Exactly. I like the car especially with the bigger battery and 100kw DC, but if it will cost 30-35K euros, then it will be better to buy a 2-3 years old bigger ecar for a lower price (25k €).
@@oDannyR Hmm, then it will be tough if 25 000 is the starting price. That means the big battery one will hit 30 000 or even be above that and for that price I can find used Ioniq 5s for 29 000 and that car is on a different level.

The concept looked good but then they had to make it uglier.😢
What an awful accent 😂😂😂
Good French accent... :)
We are french and we make the effort to speak in Eng !
