The CLOSEST I think we could ever get to "pvp" would be something like Warzone/Paincage in PGR, where you're scored against other players on who clears things the fastest and with how much damage taken, or the amount of enemy waves cleared.
But even that favours whales coz they are able to dish out way more damage than a f2p generally, besides genshin is a casual game so i don't think PvP will ever be implemented in genshin.

I have experienced it just today. I was doing abyss and 3 slimes(hydro) ganged up on me from all sides and shooter hillichurls continuously freezing me with crossbows. I spent like literal 150 secs trying to just move😭😭

They already said WAAAY before that PVP won't be in the game. The fact is if PVP is in the game it will be P2W with just whales dominating. People would say well just make it balanced like no constellations and R5 weapons. Well, do you think there won't be any backlash from the whale community that admit it or not is the reason the game has continuous updates? So no. I'm personally glad that the developers haven't made outrageously hard quests or bosses because it is a gacha system. If you start scaling monsters based on the people who were able to get god-like artifacts, then the people who are still working on building or haven't been as lucky in pulling might get tired of the game. No one would like facing monsters designed for the strongest players if they're not among those rankings.
well i hope mihoyo can develop co op more like tower defense where we got raided buy hundred of monster to the point a single VENTI or 6 MIL EULA DAMAGE will not solving the problem or at least mount device so exploring world more enjoyable
teyvat is believed to be a continent surrounded by water, so Wave Riders will be relevant until Szechnaya comes out (if more waypoints will be added) the best coop they could/already come up with are skill-based coop game (like, upcoming 2.8 GAA boat racing or the previous 1.4 challenges), and RNG slapped into domain challenges (like, the recent Depths Domain and the previous 2.2 Magic-Paper Domain - enemy compositions are random everytime you start a new run)
They would have to remove the auto targeting, restrict which characters you can use, make a whole rework of how characters can be played, maybe make a whole new map for pvp, and whole lot of other factors.
Making it pvp would mean making a completely new game, cus imagine getting frozen all the time, or some characters like zhonglis ult hit you. That wouldn’t be much fun, plus, you wouldn’t even have to be very good at playing, cus as long you know how the game works, it’s the more you spend the better you are.
They can just nerft zhongli petrified in PVP mode dude This is game, everything run on system, and you can make system as what you wanted. The one that decided will just the WANT or NOT from hoyo developers
making pvp in genshin would probably require changes to a majority of things in the game, like adding immunities so players cant keep the other frozen forever or combo them into oblivion with knockback. mihoyo already has their hands full with stuff like game balancing, event ideas, and making new areas to explore. i wouldnt be surprised if adding pvp would double or even triple their current workload
The only way I can see to add pvp in this game is the implementation of platform mini games or sport games. If people are thinking this type of game should add pvp battles you need to see a closer look on all the non dps characters. The game is fine as it is, if you want pvp there's a ton of games out there...
The closest we could get to pvp is basically any sort of mini game that doesn't let you choose your own characters. Something like the hide and seek game, or some sort of pvp tower defence. Even if players get to choose from all lvl 80 C0 R1 characters, the combat system is not designed for it. Imagine someone uses Venti against you, or long ranged characters like Yoimiya. Or even worse someone with a freeze comp.
Why would anyone want a pvp in genshin? Like that goes against everything what Genshin is about. How would someone with awful luck getting good artifact go against someone who has god tier sets and stats. It's better if they do team up against enemies. Maybe do a monolid challenge but instead of killing all enemies, it's protecting the monolid until the time is up.
Genshin characters are mainly designed to require support from other units. Taking that into account PvP would most likely include more than 1 character per side. But the issue is then that there's really no PvP mechanic in genshin, unless they make the "parry" thing from previous patches a thing there. But then there's the question how you would deal with elemental bursts which give you i-frame and insane dmg + skills like Ayatos who would shred since there would have to be recoil upon taking damage. I mean adding this feature is the furthest thing from feasible which is why it is extremely unlikely that Hoyoverse will implement it.
I'd say it can work if done correctly like, another gacha I play, princess connect re dive. You could have clan battle once a month and a similar thing to battle/princess arena for dailies (where you put a team for defence, and can go higher in ranks by attacking a higher ranked players defense team).
@@imo098765 Um don't think you've played princess connect so a quick explanation, the dailies (when you go against fellow players) are fought using an auto-enabled system and the characters have a certain sequence to follow (thus some characters are great for placing on defense and others for offense). Clan battle is when you and your clan take on difficult enemies together and compete with other clans, here it's not auto so there are timelines that help you get the most damage.

The only way to implement an actual decent multiplayer would be a battle royale, each person selects one character they own, which then gets lowered down to C0 also no archons that’s way too cheesed, as well as weapons unless you pick up artifacts and weps from enemies you kill around the map? And make it so the map gets randomly selected from around teyvat in small areas with a max or only 40 people (10 teams), and for winning maybe you can keep an artifact you find in the dungeo or have a random chance of earning one of the artifacts you gained from the battle (better you do better chance of getting the selected artifact) and honestly everyone has or can get a selected 5 star character or has one and even then that might not help the synchronization of the team, but it’s possible you just have to make a base and a build up, add a little gacha in terms of finding weapons/artifacts and there can be some pull them make monthly rewards for battle points and boom people have more ways to obtain resin, mora, artifacts maybe even a couple primo gems here an there as a random chest thing that give out random pools from 10-40 every now and then. Anyways I think it’s possible and would be fun, but I also get people like to not pick on the smallest detail when it barely matters lol. Ps killing Hillichurls is fun and all but I wanna smash player puss bro. Ps x2 also maybe add little care packages that drop Constellations too incentivize combat and that’s an extra facet to dip into for things to look for or ending up creating competition without the need to smash hundreds of dollars lol.
The only way that’s is possible is to make it like injustice or mortal combat where the characters artifact are already pre set with equally balanced stats so you can just pick and choose who you want to play with of course with constellation 0 and maybe best in slot weapons

@@Santanazation dude any character that deal more than 50k dmg easily kill zhongli in one hit, his shield doesnt even survive 40k dmg,he probably superior againts mobs dmg but he is just a fragile unit if facing damage from players,even a millions HP boss can die in one hit with c0 eula,hutao or any other nuke characters, zhongli just a wet toilet paper in PvP

It's funny to see that Tower of Fantasy is implementing a full battleroyale mode in the game and here we are almost 2 years since Genshin was launched and not even a single permanent replayable content was implemented in the game.
if it was similar like the first raiden boss where our skills and elemental burst was disabled for all chars (-geo traveler) and we would have only 1* weapons with all dmg doing same for that weapon class and all char cons and talents would be set to 0 with you being able to only bring 1 character to the game it could work but yea would be too much effort for hoyoverse but on real though i would love to have a raid boss instead where the boss has like 1billion health and there would be new boss every week/month and it woyld have different element each week and to make it fair you could make it so it was 4 player co-op possible and each world level would have different difficulty so it would ve fair for everyone and it would give rewards for each tine you fight like ssme reward you get from random events but for killing the boss it would give some prinogems on top of that like honestly i don't even care if rewards are bad as long as there would be a reason to play hard challenges with friends not some event that i forget about few days after it goes away
pvp in genshin will be a ton of work, as they'll have to balance out the entire roster of characters like you can't just auto lock zhongli and hold e and just be invincible. like it's just way too tedious imo, and genshin doesn't really need pvp like it's clearly designed to solely be a pve game so pvp won't ever be a thing.

What I look about this game is that it’s non-PVP. Too stressful for me. But one way they could implement it is probably use a “fixed” character , like in trials. That way everyone will have the same stats
What if they had an event where they gave you characters with fixed constellations and you had and option to choose between premade artifact sets. This way we would be able to experience pvp once at least. Imagine using a Beidou counter in perfect time againt another player...that'd be so good.

agreed but not for these reasons. its definitely not because its too hard for players. it would just be impossible. this game has been designed around PVE from the start and switching it up would be impossible. people who spend money would have an insane advantage. also how would health work. players simply dont have enough health. hitboxes would have to be set up and there isnt any reliable systems that could be used for pvp. xiao would be hopping around and you cant even hit them, auto attack bow characters would just dominate. besides, it would just suck. your defininetly overestimating how "fun" pvp would be in this game. it would be the most choppy, pay to win, waste of time ever.
I mean, Genshin is a single-player RPG, not even rly MMO. In my opinion, it would be strange if ppl demanded Valorant, CoD, Overwatch, and other PvP games to implement RPG when the game was not made to be as such. But making smth like contest with trial character in abyss speedrun - it could be nice. In this case everyone will be in same conditions and clear time will depend on player skill and level of understanding game.

I don’t think this game needs pvp but I do think it should have better co-op content like big endgame raid style dungeons that you need to do with a team or stuff like that. I feel like In PC Genshin has the potential to do a lot of awesome things but will always be held back by having to be in mobile too
This game would have to be redesigned from the ground up for PvP to work, it’s literally made to be PvE. The combat system doesn’t lend itself well to trying to fight another player across from you, imagine 2 people trying to set up reactions on each lol would be a clusterfuck. PvP could work if they made it so there's no artifacts,talents ect everyone was roughly the same level and you chose units based on their kits similar to something like Apex Legends. No one would be stronger, it'd just be a matter of aiming,movement and utilising your faves abilities.
if they want to go a PvP route, they need to solve the i-frame of Burst because dodging with i-frame is stupid in pvp. also there is some mechanics that will be very broken in the game. Zhongli shield+burst CC will be very broken Aoe characters will be broken, mostly anemo Itto while slow in atk, will be very broken due to his main stats is Def and his burst scales by his Def Yelan will also be broken because she able to deal damage even with shielded enemy the list goes on. also they need to adjust all the 5 star into C2 and 4 star into C6 for fairness you cant win against a whaler

Who expects genshin to have pvp? The game wasn't designed to be pvp. I think that's why they're just making Zzz, because making a new game with better multiplayer features is easier than making a huge overhaul in the game design of Genshin. Though I do wish their coop would be better. I have no incentive playing coop because the bosses are easier solo(because of the multiplier). Have more activities besides ganging up bosses and doing domains.

People are using some high-fiber mental gymnastics to justify that PvP is possible in genshin but, they don't even try to solve the first and possibly the biggest problem as to why it is not possible, genshin is just simply made to be a PvE. All the kits, skills, bursts, etc of genshin characters are made for PvE combat. How would you like it if you fought a Ganyu who's just charged attacking you from far away, or how about a Zhongli that just straight up never dies. How will energy regeneration be? Surely bursts are not instantly available at the start of a match or else a wild Raiden could be everyone's worst nightmare. There are so many things that make it impossible to have a PvP system.

Genshin characters are mainly designed to require support from other units. Taking that into account PvP would most likely include more than 1 character per side. But the issue is then that there's really no PvP mechanic in genshin, unless they make the "parry" thing from previous patches a thing there. But then there's the question how you would deal with elemental bursts which give you i-frame and insane dmg + skills like Ayatos who would shred since there would have to be recoil upon taking damage. I mean adding this feature is the furthest thing from feasible which is why it is extremely unlikely that Hoyoverse will implement it.
That's not even scratching the surface when units like Zhongli and Noelle exist.

Yeah I have seen this problem s in Lords mobile, specifically in Guilds where everyone complains about getting attacked by their own guild members...
I'd say it can work if done correctly like, another gacha I play, princess connect re dive. You could have clan battle once a month and a similar thing to battle/princess arena for dailies (where you put a team for defence, and can go higher in ranks by attacking a higher ranked players defense team).
So how do you have the ai setup reactions properly and use widsith/tts or any other style of buffing correctly
@@imo098765 Um don't think you've played princess connect so a quick explanation, the dailies (when you go against fellow players) are fought using an auto-enabled system and the characters have a certain sequence to follow (thus some characters are great for placing on defense and others for offense). Clan battle is when you and your clan take on difficult enemies together and compete with other clans, here it's not auto so there are timelines that help you get the most damage.

The only way to implement an actual decent multiplayer would be a battle royale, each person selects one character they own, which then gets lowered down to C0 also no archons that’s way too cheesed, as well as weapons unless you pick up artifacts and weps from enemies you kill around the map? And make it so the map gets randomly selected from around teyvat in small areas with a max or only 40 people (10 teams), and for winning maybe you can keep an artifact you find in the dungeo or have a random chance of earning one of the artifacts you gained from the battle (better you do better chance of getting the selected artifact) and honestly everyone has or can get a selected 5 star character or has one and even then that might not help the synchronization of the team, but it’s possible you just have to make a base and a build up, add a little gacha in terms of finding weapons/artifacts and there can be some pull them make monthly rewards for battle points and boom people have more ways to obtain resin, mora, artifacts maybe even a couple primo gems here an there as a random chest thing that give out random pools from 10-40 every now and then. Anyways I think it’s possible and would be fun, but I also get people like to not pick on the smallest detail when it barely matters lol. Ps killing Hillichurls is fun and all but I wanna smash player puss bro. Ps x2 also maybe add little care packages that drop Constellations too incentivize combat and that’s an extra facet to dip into for things to look for or ending up creating competition without the need to smash hundreds of dollars lol.
The only way that’s is possible is to make it like injustice or mortal combat where the characters artifact are already pre set with equally balanced stats so you can just pick and choose who you want to play with of course with constellation 0 and maybe best in slot weapons

It's funny to see that Tower of Fantasy is implementing a full battleroyale mode in the game and here we are almost 2 years since Genshin was launched and not even a single permanent replayable content was implemented in the game.

if it was similar like the first raiden boss where our skills and elemental burst was disabled for all chars (-geo traveler) and we would have only 1* weapons with all dmg doing same for that weapon class and all char cons and talents would be set to 0 with you being able to only bring 1 character to the game it could work but yea would be too much effort for hoyoverse but on real though i would love to have a raid boss instead where the boss has like 1billion health and there would be new boss every week/month and it woyld have different element each week and to make it fair you could make it so it was 4 player co-op possible and each world level would have different difficulty so it would ve fair for everyone and it would give rewards for each tine you fight like ssme reward you get from random events but for killing the boss it would give some prinogems on top of that like honestly i don't even care if rewards are bad as long as there would be a reason to play hard challenges with friends not some event that i forget about few days after it goes away

pvp in genshin will be a ton of work, as they'll have to balance out the entire roster of characters like you can't just auto lock zhongli and hold e and just be invincible. like it's just way too tedious imo, and genshin doesn't really need pvp like it's clearly designed to solely be a pve game so pvp won't ever be a thing.
All they have to do is make 4-6 person raids with bosses that actually take mechanics to beat not just how much $$ you have spent

agreed but not for these reasons. its definitely not because its too hard for players. it would just be impossible. this game has been designed around PVE from the start and switching it up would be impossible. people who spend money would have an insane advantage. also how would health work. players simply dont have enough health. hitboxes would have to be set up and there isnt any reliable systems that could be used for pvp. xiao would be hopping around and you cant even hit them, auto attack bow characters would just dominate. besides, it would just suck. your defininetly overestimating how "fun" pvp would be in this game. it would be the most choppy, pay to win, waste of time ever.
I mean, Genshin is a single-player RPG, not even rly MMO. In my opinion, it would be strange if ppl demanded Valorant, CoD, Overwatch, and other PvP games to implement RPG when the game was not made to be as such. There are plenty of PvP and MMO's out there and I'm ok with Genshin primarily being a single-player RPG.
I do think a 2d fighter like Guilty Gear or DBFZ would be pretty good with Genshin characters.

I don’t think this game needs pvp but I do think it should have better co-op content like big endgame raid style dungeons that you need to do with a team or stuff like that.
I feel like In PC Genshin has the potential to do a lot of awesome things but will always be held back by having to be in mobile too
This game would have to be redesigned from the ground up for PvP to work, it’s literally made to be PvE. The combat system doesn’t lend itself well to trying to fight another player across from you, imagine 2 people trying to set up reactions on each lol would be a clusterfuck. PvP could work if they made it so there's no artifacts,talents ect everyone was roughly the same level and you chose units based on their kits similar to something like Apex Legends. No one would be stronger, it'd just be a matter of aiming,movement and utilising your faves abilities.

if they want to go a PvP route, they need to solve the i-frame of Burst because dodging with i-frame is stupid in pvp. also there is some mechanics that will be very broken in the game.
Zhongli shield+burst CC will be very broken
Aoe characters will be broken, mostly anemo
Itto while slow in atk, will be very broken due to his main stats is Def and his burst scales by his Def
Yelan will also be broken because she able to deal damage even with shielded enemy

also they need to adjust all the 5 star into C2 and 4 star into C6 for fairness

Who expects genshin to have pvp? The game wasn't designed to be pvp. I think that's why they're just making Zzz, because making a new game with better multiplayer features is easier than making a huge overhaul in the game design of Genshin.
Though I do wish their coop would be better. I have no incentive playing coop because the bosses are easier solo(because of the multiplier). Have more activities besides ganging up bosses and doing domains.

People are using some high-fiber mental gymnastics to justify that PvP is possible in genshin but, they don't even try to solve the first and possibly the biggest problem as to why it is not possible, genshin is just simply made to be a PvE.
All the kits, skills, bursts, etc of genshin characters are made for PvE combat. How would you like it if you fought a Ganyu who's just charged attacking you from far away, or how about a Zhongli that just straight up never dies. How will energy regeneration be? Surely bursts are not instantly available at the start of a match or else a wild Raiden could be everyone's worst nightmare.

The thing is…..anybody with max level and max talents with full constellations and an r5 weapon with good artifacts can easily beat your ass at pvp.

pvp in elden ring sucks, I made mine better using seemless coop mod, whenever a players gets killed by another one, they wont get kicked out of the world like the default trash fromsoft multiplayer
