Collagraphy is a really versatile printing process in which a textured plate is inked up and put through a press. Different textures hold varying amounts. of ink and print different tones. Anything with a low relief texture can be stuck down and used: wallpaper, leaves, fabrics, tapes and threads etc
Your analysis of your plates and the reason why you are making changes is a very helpful.
Thank you, really glad you found it useful 🤗
Way to go, Marta! Love it!
Thank you 🤗
Great Marta! I love love the last print the most - am a stencil freak…😬🙋🏻♀🌸
Thank you Tina, I love stencils too 😁
Such fun techniques. 👏👏👏
Thank you, worth trying out!
Watch another Marta video, go buy more stuff LOL! I love this print, hoping we will get to see what you do if you take it further.
Thank you Carole, this is a bit of a mammoth one, I always buy too many materials, I love experimenting with stuff. 🤪
Your prints are lovely. Both of them. I very much appreciate all the different materials you use and I'm wondering what are some ways I could print at home without a press? I have a gell plate and enjoy that very much but am starting to eyeball my glass patio table - could I pull a print off of glass? What do you think? What are some ways you've printed without a press? Thanks.
Thank you Apple, gell plates are great and you can do so much with them, have you seen my gelli plate video? ruclips.net/video/C48yi32AShI/видео.html
Monoprinting on plastic sheets is great fun especially with viscosity techniques. Could be idea for a new video 😀
@@CollagraphPrinting I have seen your gelli plate video! It sent me down quite a creative path with my plate. I'd enjoy seeing you monoprint on plastic sheets.
Love your videos! How would a gesso compare with the gloss and Matt acrylic mediums in the final print?
Thank you 🙏
I think gesso would give the darkest tone, then Matt medium would me medium tone and glass would be wipe almost clean
