File off the rough spots on your broken hooks and use them as poker tools for stuffing things. I'm sure you'll find more uses for them-depressions into clay for rhinestones, that sort of stuff. I have a special pair of magnifying spectacles that go over top of my regular glasses. There is a light, too, and it really helps out with the fine crochet. I'm a new subscriber. Thank you! ❤️ I buy all of my jewellery from sellers on Etsy and make sure to do my research/read the reviews thoroughly before I commit to buying from them. I'm currently using a seller called House of Gems Inc and I've been really happy with them so far! In terms of materials, I use Sterling Silver for all of my silver pieces. And then I switched to using gold-filled wires and jump rings instead of gold-plated a while ago. It's quite a lot more expensive but my understanding is that there's a much higher quantity of gold used when they make jewellery, and it's pressure bonded to the inner core instead of just dipping it in the gold (like with gold-plating). That way it's much less likely to tarnish over time like gold plating does, but still much more affordable than solid gold. Sorry for the info dump haha but hope that helps! ❤️
