    Thanks so much for making this video on drugstore silver hair toning products, Beth! 🙂 I haven't tried any of these yet. But I think when I run out of my salon toning products, I'm going to try one or two of these next to save a little bit money! Yaaay! 🦋🧡🦋

    Awesome video Beth, the only one I tried was the violet crush and liked it when I wanted just a bit of toning. I have to say that I’m still using the metal detox shampoo, mask and treatment , they make my hair really bright. I do switch it up with purple shampoo, conditioner and mask. Have a great week 👩🏻‍🦳💖

      I need to repurchase the metal detox shampoo! It’s really so good at clearing the yellow entirely. It’s so effective! 💖💖 switching it up sounds like the perfect balance. I hope you have an awesome week, too! 🤩

    I wash my hair twice a week as well. I’m going to try the Odele and the Ess! Always looking for a travel toner! The Sun Bum purple shampoo and conditioner has been sold at Target but I think Amazon has it now. (Probably elsewhere but I haven’t looked.) It is my favorite drug store brand, very pigmented and moisturizing. My favorite salon level haircare, including purple shampoo is Phyto, a French brand. Your hair is always lovely! Nice to see you!

    First off, your hair looks amazing in the video. Love it curly! I'm in the sun 2-3 hours a day (retired and on the pickleball court!), but don't notice brassiness or sun damage in my hair. I've been tempted to try using purple shampoo once or twice a month to see if it helps brighten my grays. Will give one of your reviewed products a try. Thanks for taking the time to test these for us.

      Thanks for the super sweet comment 💖💖 that’s great that the sun ☀️ doesn’t yellow your hair. It’s great that you play so much pickleball-it’s great for you!

    I’ve been using the Biolage purple shampoo. I think it does a decent job of toning my salt and pepper hair (more salt in the front). It is on the drying side, so I use a conditioner in a shower as well as a leave in. It has the classic Biolage fragrance. I also have been trying the Superzero purple shampoo bar. It cleans well, but I don’t think there is much toning going on. At my last haircut, my stylist washed my hair with the Paul Mitchell Shampoo Three. It’s made for removing chlorine from hair, but she said it will remove general mineral buildup from hard water, which can contribute to yellowing hair. I bought a travel size that I plan to use periodically. It smells divine! Thanks for this video- I’m planning to try the Odelle conditioner.

      Thank you for all of these excellent recommendations! I’m super curious about the Paul Mitchell product you mention.

    My gosh your hair gets more beautiful every time I see you😊 . My hair is white until I get a short pixie, then its white in front and darker in the back. Im not crazy about that, but its so fine and thin, ive grown tired of growing it out, so pixie it is😂.

    Love this video. I have been using Joico and almost finished so want to try something new- it is my first purple shampoo/conditioner I have been using. I am transitioning out of coloring, now about 14 months and have textured hair but a bit finer than yours appears. Just curious if you tried Joico and if any of these are comparable--

    Starting this comment only 3 minutes in- I use gloves on the purple product days. Anyone else? I hate the staining that happens on my fingers and scrubbing gets it out, but it really makes my more neutral/ lighter nail colors seem more dingy.
    I just use the basic nitrile gloves we use in the kitchen. The disposable gloves. Not optimal for the environment- so I’m open to suggestions.

      Interesting! I do not use gloves but it’s not a bad idea at all.

    I love the volume and textural effect I get from a purple shampoo. They seem to clean thoroughly and imbue a shine. They also rinse off and rinse off, easily. The pigments in conditioners seem to sweat out?! I went to salon products first. I wash my hair every 7-10 days. Every second wash I use a purple shampoo. One of the most pleasing scents I’ve used is the Rahua “purple” but I don’t think it has any special toning properties.

      Love this comment, Catherine! I agree, there is a special cool brilliance to effect of the purple shampoo. I wonder if the drying nature of the products helps add to texture 🧐. I want to smell the Rahua shampoo!

    Great video! I have naturally silver hair with more white in the front and some light and dark pieces throughout. I’m noticing some maybe yellowing on some of those front white pieces. My hairdresser says it might be just because of the different colors going through that it looks not as white. Idk. I always air dry and don’t use heat. I do use a clarifying shampoo once a week.,I only use a true purple shampoo every couple of weeks. Should I use more often? And which one would you recommend?

    • @InfinitegardenbyBethK
      @InfinitegardenbyBethK  6 дней назад +1

      Great question! I’m just a fellow traveler like yourself, but do you use makeup? Could that be accumulating? The clarifying shampoo should handle that but since you mention it’s by your face, that’s why I ask.

    For the Kristin Ess did you lather up with your regular shampoo, then add in the purple, or rinse out your regular shampoo and then put the purple in? Thanks!

    • @InfinitegardenbyBethK
      @InfinitegardenbyBethK  6 дней назад +1

      Great question. I would totally rinse out my first shampoo and the. Apply the Ess to my rinsed hair. Additionally, the Ess doesn’t lather up. It seems to work better to just apply it and let it sit.

      @@InfinitegardenbyBethK Got it. I think I would get the Ess conditioner instead. I use Hairstory New Wash. It's a cleansing cream, so I don't use a conditioner, but definitely need a purple tint now and then. Thanks!
