The Mbarara Ecclesiastical Province carried out Martyrs Day celebrations for Andrea Kaahwa with mass led by Mbarara Archbishop Rt. Rev. Lambert Bainomugisha Adyeeri, assisted by the Bishop of Fort Portal Diocese, Rt Rev. Robert Muhiirwa Akiiki and the host Bishop of Hoima Rt. Rev. Vincent Kirabo Amooti. Andrea Kaahwa considered the leader of the 22 Catholic Uganda Martyrs and Anotole Kirigwaijjo hailed from Hoima Diocese.
