When I was growing up in the 1960's...after dinner, the entire family would be outside till 11pm...the grown ups having conversations with the next door neighbors while we kids played with our friends.
Fast forward to 2024, you walk down any street, there is nobody sitting, walking and or playing...the only thing you see is a blue light emanating from every window from every home.
Avg work week is 40 hrs...avg weekly television viewing is 30+ hours.
People work, sleep, and watch television...totally dumbed down population‼️

Until the women's court system is reformed I cannot see any reason a man should enter into a relationship. It's high risk High liability with a diminishing rate of return. Men have to assume the vast majority of the risk. It's just a bad deal for men. No denying that marriage is the best place for children. Marriage is the best for women too as they get a labor slave and a wage slave.

Not just more women joining the workforce, but also the floodgates being opened to massive immigration by the 1990’s . I’m generation X as well and I remember when you could finish high school and get a decent blue collar job and be able to afford a starter house and a family with a wife, maybe working part time. Since the 1970’s corporations have been outsourcing manufacturing jobs, but now they donate money to corporate politicians who insource labor at the same time. With more people competing for jobs and affordable housing the demand outpaces the supply

Unchanging may give guys a sense of comfort, but in my experience, women become easily bored and will cause change if it doesn't happen on its own. In the worst cases, women who don't know how to be comfortable with themselves try to get that comfort based on things outside themselves, usually in a relationship. Bottom line, whether man or woman, if you don't know how to be comfortable with yourself, you can't get comfort through someone else.

Great insights here. Men and women were not designed by nature to both be in a rat race. Progress, technology, social media, and feminism has divided us and essentially created a gender war. But at a fundamental level, men and women NEED each other. But you have to wonder if we'll ever go back to a more traditional way of living and an environment that's more conducive to healthy, long lasting relationships to the benefit of families, children, and society. Right now, we're going in the other direction and the impact on society is not positive.

Ironically, when you look at the development of western civilization compared to civilizations and other parts of the world, marriage played a really significant role in our dominance culturally over other civilizations. If women want to be equal with men, they have to work for wages and have their own money and their own bank account. To be a “Housewife,” is to be a woman solely dependent upon men, which will lead to economic catastrophe for her if the marriage ever ends. (And in life, everything always ends.).

Imo this nostalgia for the past is overrated. There is also no reason to hate women. They have always been like this. It is their nature, and by that, the species survives. No amount of social conditioning can overcome hardwired genetics. It can screw it up, maybe. I think the internet just gave men a way to compare notes. If you look back throughout history, pockets of men have always made the same observations about the sexes, and there have always been men who avoided family for these reasons. There is no magic time to go back to, no magic solutions. One either accepts things as they are and works with it or escapes and goes one's way. The 1950s are dead and gone.

Women went to work (had to) in the 70s because America's best 20 years (Leave it to Beaver) after we basically rebuilt the world after bombing everything to rubble in WWII came to an end. Nixon taking us off the gold standard, the country was demoralized from the 20 years (1955 - 1975) we were in Vietnam (cost 1.2 Trillion in today's dollars). Inflation.....So yes, things went to shit, a lot of the old male guard were to blame by hiring all the hot asses to look at all day. Workplace became toxic. Divorce started skyrocketing. That was a pretty short time span. And yes, the culture changed, all planned by the elite rulers. The middle class is/was the "challenger" class, ...the elites hate the middle class. "Free love," drugs, uh-bor-shun on demand, radical phem-uh-nism, and skyrocketing divorce rates all in a span of about 15-20 years. Very interesting and relevant discussion. I'm a couple of years older than you, and can remember asking a girl I was friends with in first grade what she was wearing around her neck. It was a house key tied to a ribbon, and it was so she could let herself into the apartment she and her mother lived in. My friend was a latch key kid. The parents were either in the process of getting divorced/ we're divorced. It was sad and surprising to me because both my parents and my friend's parents were all still married. I think it was about that time ( 1969- early 70's) that I started to see more kids in that situation.
Footnote: I'm from N.Virginia/ Fairfax County. I just watched one of your other videos, and the scenery reminds me of Rock Creek Park, or the area around Cabin John. I miss the DMV, and I hope with Fall approaching that you'll be able to capture the beautiful foliage in your videos.

The final message at the end is in a lot of alignment despite the boogeyman treatment in this country to contemporary socialist or at the very least social democratic values on market reform. I'm in strong agreement and it would be very advisible to collectively organize and pressure the legal bodies to pass laws to more heavily tax the corporate sector, enforce accountability in the government to make sure the resources are going where they need to, and that the labor that inevitably will be accomplished by automation is used to improve collective quality of life for the many and not the few. There are obvious obstacles in the way with the status quo that has been but regardless of politics the right and left extremism is identifying parts of a broader whole issue that has been building for a long time and is coasting based off of tradition, propagandizing, distraction, and immoral incentives which is reaching points that can no longer be ignored. I hope despite these obstacles we can begin to look past the tribalism of the past and begin through social media and organized collective action to begin a means of forming a compitent opposition that has been long absent in the market and political realms which are in dire need of enforced restructuring through democratized pressure.

For me the issue is not women in the work force, but the fact that social norms and expectations have not gone along with the economic shift. At bottom it seems like a lot of women are progressive in the workplace but conservative when it comes to attraction. Even an accomplished business woman with a self-sustaining income will typically want to date a man who is at least as rich as her, otherwise she would be 'dating down'. The 'breadwinner complex' is still part of the female psyche even though it no longer serves a purpose.

Meanwhile, politicians bought votes by giving those tax dollars to those who had no motivation to work, who wouldn't take responsibility for themselves. there will always be a high supply of high school graduates but those who go on to learn a skill or trade will be in demand. I was able to make a good living right out of college. Now, I'm retired, living overseas in a traditional culture and married to a trad wife.

Women in other parts of the world (in particular Soviet Union since 1917 revolution and Germany during WW2) have been part of the workforce for a very long time and the divorce rates were low.
I believe it is rather the rise of feminism and equal rights of men and women created the global change of family fabric that for all times were resting on perils of woman’s shoulders.

So now it is more expensive to buy a home or to run a business and we have inflation.
    2) Social media has one aim which is to sell us stuff... in order to do that it must nudge us into action, the best way to do this is to convince you your life is sh!t without this bag or this car, or this iphone or this etc.... so until we ban social media everything will keep getting worse, there is no end game here.

However weak minds that have no discernment fall trap to this stuff, and then social media allows them to find each other. Wake up and realize you are being manipulated. I watch one video on a subject and now I get 10K of them. However, I know I am in the algorithm, and I use my discernment to make sure I don't let myself get sucked into the rabbit hole. From GPT
Generation X, often referred to as Gen X, is generally defined as the cohort of people born between 1965 and 1980. This generation follows the Baby Boomers and precedes the Millennials[1][2][3]. There is some variation in the exact years depending on different sources, but the most commonly accepted range is from 1965 to 1980[1][2][4].

Really like your channel. And loved your life story today.
However, I don't think I agree with your inference that liberalisation of women was somehow a bad thing. In the past, women were trapped in unequal relationships (that may even have been abusive) but had no escape because they had no power in the relationship at all. If we go back far enough women couldn't even go into pubs on their own! So I am sure nobody would want to go back to that.
But I do accept your argument that the norm of having two salaries in a household has probably depressed salaries to the benefit of large corporations and to the detriment of the ordinary working person. But this is just one of many factors that has resulted in an increasingly unequal society where the rich have got richer and the poor have got poorer. We are an increasingly unequal society and it is not a good thing. But I don't think we should put all the blame for this on women's rights nor think that going back to a situation of increased gender inequality would be a good thing.
