ive been considering making clips for two reasons - sharing favorite moments with friends and improving editing skills since video editing is one of the things im considering doing for a living. i think finding this video is a sign to actually start doing it. thanks for putting all the basics in a short video, doing reaserch of something i wanna get into can be overwhelming so i really appreciate it!
thank you for this! i love your editing style so much. what’s your thought process when editing a video? in the sense, how do you know what audio to use when, when to zoom in etc. your edits are so fun. thank you for the laughs!
thank you! tbh when watching the raw vod I just watch as if it's already been edited and try to replicate the edits my brain made into irl like if I'm watching something, I'll probably think: "oh a vine boom here would be so funny" or like a camera pan. It's definitely up to you in your humor and editing style! If it's hard for you to "feel" or imagine it, you can observe other edited videos and notice any patterns of when they zoom or add a sfx. hope that helps!
fr tho i saw ur clip of luca after luxiem debut and i never looked back it was ur review on the voicepack- ur clips are hilarious cuz it reminds me of my friend
Ooooh I think this is the first time I've run into a clipping tutorial like this! It's good timing, because recently I had been really considering starting to make clips where I would translate EN Vtubers into Brasilian Portuguese (my native language). Mainly because I noticed it seems to be more or less easy to find translated clips for HololiveEN, but I had to work much harder to find them for NijiEN or HolostarsEN... It's still a thing I am considering, specially since translating is an extra skill I'm gonna need to develop. But if I do start it I can see myself coming back to this video a few times! :D
thank you for the tips!! I'm kinda in the boat of making compilations and also clipping. Since my first one that I made, I get ideas so often now, and making my first one was fun, so why not keep making them :) love you clips and again thanks for the tips!!
Thanks for the advice and knowledge! I haven’t really been able to find much on the this subject and like the does and don’ts and I’m pretty new to the editing side but I’m thinking of starting a clip channel to support the content creators I like and learn as I go.
Anyone else experience FOMO as a clipper? You’ve been watching your oshi yap for 5-6hour and you really want to click off and start working or take a damn break but then you’re like: “What if, a legendary memeable moment slips by?”
Hi, you mentioned using both the iPhone screen recording and yt-dlp in the tools. If you have the recording, isn't yt-dlp redundant? Is yt-dlp just for old streams/other videos you might want to mix in, stuff like that? Seconding the comments about your voice btw, you have a very pleasant soothing voice!
great question! I use the iPhone Screen recording feature when I'm only clipping a small part of the vod. When I do longer compilations or several clips- that's when I'd use yt-dlp to download the full vod. I also use yt-dlp to download things like sfx, green screens, etc. for editing! also ty for the voice compliment! 🥺
Feel free to reply with your own advice/questions here! ✨
