- Hi Everyone, thanks for joining me today for this painting tutorial! In this video, I’ll be showing you how to create a dramatic sky and perspective using only black and white paint, a few brushes, on a 16x20” canvas 😊
I used these specific colours but you can achieve this painting with ANY black and white you already have!
Titanium white
Fluid/craft black paint
Filbert brush - clouds, foliage & rays
Fan - clouds
Oval mop -bushes
Flat- cabin
3” Round chalk brush (used at beginning for background)
Liner - fine details

I really need to find new ways to say your work is fantastic. This would also be a good one to colourise at a later date, like you once did with another b/w piece. But it's really stunning as it is.

I am a 69 yr old recent widower who only recently took up painting on canvas. I was an airbrush artist about 30 years ago and did landscape murals on Van's trucks motorcycles etc. But never picked up a brush. Now I started watching tutorials of alot of artists which are helpful but since I found you my paintings have improved by leaps and bounds. I can't believe how much fun I'm having now with black and white after everything else you've taught me. I just wanted to thank you for helping me put my life back together. I am forever grateful. ❤

I like this one. Something about b and w that just makes it look cool. Easier I guess too since color is not part of the equation. I wonder if you were tempted at the end to glaze color over it. hah

I find these black and white paintings so interesting, not only for their beauty, but you can see the same painting in so many different ways depending on what mood you´re in, it´s like your emotions decides what colors you see in the painting from your inside, if that makes any sense? lol it´s easier to see what you want/need to see when you remove the color of a painting.....yeah, I don´t know how to describe it...
Anyways, it´s a stunning scenery :) 💜 another home run under your belt! :D
