A great piece of advice! Better than saying something that you will regret later.

do you find that if your calm and nice to people all the time that some people mistake it for weakness and start to walk all over you? especially if they don't know you? how do you deal with that? i have rage that can be like rocket fuel and i don't think confronting people is wise for me. i havnt been able to work for years and anger is a big part of the problem. should i maybe just tell people nicely that they should respect me and i have anger problems when i first meet them? drop it in the conversation? i am worried about goin into any job now because there are so many unpleasant people out there. i used to get respect because of my reputation but im getting to old and unfit now to physically fight for respect. meditation and breathing exercises wont work for explosive rage will it? when i suppress it, it makes me ill and effects me. it plays on my mind and the person disrepects me again and it becomes a pattern which i assume is bullying. im not a big guy and cant grow a decent beard like you so what should i do?

Prehaps find an outlet for this inner rage. Men have this oni in them, Asian cultures call it a demon of sorts, Native Americans would call it an animal. The thirst for blood. Find an outlet for this part of yourself, start shooting or hunting, exercise, etc. Also find confidence in self when you're faced with moments which test your anger and control of self. For that's what they are, the universe testing you to see if you can find control/peace in the moment.

Anger comes from judgements we have and thoughts that arise in which we comment what is happening. Now what you could do is use the work of Byron Katie to work with those judgements and thoughts. It is free on her website with download papers and lots of videos on youtube. I would say do a lot if movement like cycling an hour per day, or whatever you like as movement. Could also be dancing to rock music, chopping wood and so on to make this energy move. Or find someone to do the Feeding your demons process.

We have to listen to an incredibly long intro before we ever get to what you want to say, which is at 3:56, and all you're saying is to breathe and "watch" our breath. Sorry. Doesn't come across as if you're centered.

no, not watching the breath. 'witnessing' the entire internal system by using the breath as an anchor point for your mental focus, and then mentally stepping back to watch the rising, experiencing, and fading of the emotional state; and then witnessing the dissolution of your identification with the transient emotion; and finally the dissipation of the emotion as well as the small self to leave the backdrop of the clear sky of the witnessing mind
