Thank you, I realized that a while ago that I never had an interest in dating let alone sex. I'm sex repulsed and I don't like physical intimacy, let alone being attracted to people sexually or romantically. I also don't understand the need some people feel for sex to the point where they cheat on their partners just because there isn't much sex in their relationship. I have full support from my sister and friends, but my parents and grandma still don't understand it very well.
Oh, I'm not Russian, my friend is, but I'm Brazilian. And thanks for the congratulations, it's really nice to be able to open up about my sexuality ^-^ I've been ace for over three years now, and I feel very comfortable with my sexual orientation.
Many invalidate being ace, including people from the lgbt community just because we "don't go through the same prejudice". And there are many who say nonsense like "this is just a phase" or "you just didn't find the right person" and "you must have been raped in the past!" And these kinds of accusations are very ignorant So yes, Acephobia exists whether you believe it or not. My own family doesn't understand this no matter how hard I try to explain it!
As a fellow ace, I approve this message 👍 congrats on coming out! 💜
