Never thought of this perspective before. Thanks for your encouragement to persevere in the ways of God🙏
A lot of truth in that. I have a friend who, to be generous, could be considered an agnostic. The topic of having the Ten Commandments in court rooms came up. His beef centered on the fact people already know it's wrong to steal and kill, why does it need to stated again in a Biblical fashion? I answered his question with a question; if such concepts were self-evident, why do we need courts at all? We are clever, smart even, but neither of those is a substitute for wisdom.
I've been saying this as well. 😊 it's very true that evil one can still impact a Christian.
Good afternoon
The way I think of it is like martial arts. If someone in the martial arts is not good at the basic fundamentals, the higher level movements will be nearly impossible. Basic should not mean, "easy", but mean something more like "fundamental to everything else". I think that Kerygma is important, it's not just for neophytes. I need Kerygma.
Great message. Subtitles highlighting on whatever word you're saying is distracting.
Good grief 😂. You try to do what kids say you have to!
@@KeithNesterits good. People with disabilities will appreciate it and if some people don't love it. The audio works great. 😂
@@KeithNester I think subtitles are great, like we talked about last year, it gives something that redirects attention back to the video. However whatever program used in this vid that's highlighting and bolding the word you're saying as you say it took away from me hearing your message the first time through, or maybe the font size of the subtitles is just too big. I'm trying to look at your face as you talk, but then there's letters changing size and colors.
To hold attention, I still think switching between 2-3 camera angles and using stock video/images is the best way, but I get that eats up your limited free time just to edit a short vid.
I can mess with the caption settings and see what I can do. Thanks for the feedback!
A lot of times I'm watching these when I can't hear audio and these are much better than the closed captioning.
Yeah well put, we never get past the basics of anything, the basics are the rudimental foundation on which the the more complex stuff is based and built upon, the basics are usually more important, and easier to grasp, We can normally do without the more complicated stuff, but without the simpler stuff we always will struggle, the very basics of our Faith is keeping Christ in the centre (Christocentric) everything else is less important extras, You get the idea!
