I played St Pierre yesterday. 28.3 handicap and scored 98. A lovely course with some spectacular holes. Loved it. Thanks for the video, I relived a few holes with you
Looks a cracking course well played John and Simon winning the fivers . what a good idea for raising money for charity with the Debra holes . Great vlog John .
Nice video John, playing with different people to normal can help your game a lot, seeing how they approach different shots, tactics they use, choice of shot etc can all be of help in the future
I envy you John, not currently being a member of a club I have no opportunity to play with new (different) people and most of my friends aren't interested in golf, but looking for a club to join next year which will change the situation
Ha ha Dave, for my own part I suddenly found that I could once again use a hybrid along the ground from 40 yards and in and picked up hole after hole with accurate big putts lol. We were playing pairs with both scores counting so on the back nine Simon and I were suddenly doing well together instead of one then the other.
I worked for SCC and we had a contract in 2000 updating marriott hotel computers. I played at St Pierre, Tudor Park and almost at the Dalmahoy. Great times, wish I'd continued with it but sold the clubs after the contract ended. ☺ 👍
@@BIGOGGIEGOLF early retirement in 2011, sounds good but due to illness. Started playing again 2008 but had to stop 2011. Started again this year after coming off a load of pills you probably have experience with. Still in pain when playing but at least my mind is my own. Love the vids 👍 ☺
Nice video, always professionally done your vids, and very enjoyable to watch. That course looked fantastic, looked like you played some good golf Jonny boy, well done 👏. I’ve just come out of hospital, had open surgery inguinal hernia repair, so no golf for me 10-12 weeks ☹️, hope you do more vids to keep me entertained during my recovery. Cheers John!
Oh Grahame I hope that you heal quickly my friend. Please keep me posted of your progress x thank you for your kind comments about my editing etc. It’s always a learning curve but I do try to be the best I can be
Good idea with the orange. Black n grey are my colours, gotta give my basic personality an overhaul and introduce some confident colour. Every little helps
OGGIE, 1st hole, second shot. Practice swing you lifted up your right foot, finishing on your toe. Looked good. But when you struck the ball you kept foot on ground? Just observation. 🤔
Hi there my friend it’s something I am very aware of. It’s like practice I relax and then the proper swing my Brain goes just hit the ball and don’t duff it, so I go all solid and just tap the ball x
@@graememaguire9353 absolutely. He doubts himself before he steps up. If you've read Tiger Woods Autobiographies he puts good shots in what he calls him mental locker. So when he stepped up he replayed those good shots in his head. Which gave him the confidence that he could replicate it again.

I am hoping to go back again sometime soon. Really well done on your great score. It’s a tough place to play.
Such a beautiful course. I use to be a member when I was a junior before moving to penzance, made some great memories there.⛳️
So you are in Penzance now, so where do you play l?
@@BIGOGGIEGOLF I am a member at cape Cornwall now. If you are ever up that way and fancy a round let me know 👍⛳️
Enjoyed it much!
Thank you x

It was an absolute delight but I knew that playing you would be. You control inspire me always my friend. And hey we make a winning team lol
Good stuff I played there over 40 years ago and only remember the 18th probably cos the Dunlop masters was televised there
Yes Gary it’s funny how some course almost get forgotten about. It wasn’t so long ago that this course was a leading name on the circuit

Hi there Tony. I am really enjoying the experience because in reality I am quite shy and would never think to put myself forward

Looks like the strongbow kicked in! 🤣

Has Matt ever looked at your grip John?
We have looked at grip before my friend but I do think I need to sort it out again. I have a tendency to tinker with things
Loved the video. Stop appologing for being a high handicap golfer John. You doubt yourself too much. Every golfer started as a high handicapper.
Yes be confident, picture your shots and it will happen 😁

Which course at St Pierre is this?
The old course Gary if I remember.
