I found this video last year after researching design techniques for our 12' tree. This was the best guide for creating something that had a professional looking design. Most other design guides create what I'd call "Christmas Salad" or "Elf Vomit". The cluster light technique and the ribbon technique were very helpful. The tree topper was a little too fabulous for our taste, but this video was an excellent example of a designer who obviously knows what she's doing and showing how to create an amazing, but tasteful design.

I used this tutorial last year 2018 to place cluster lights. I have spent hours trying to find this year 2019.....I found it!!! Kristin is a wonderful teacher; explains very well and her voice is relaxing! Thank you so much for this video. I bought a second set of cluster lights for my tree this year. These lights are truly magical. Also adding fillers is a wonderful touch. Again, thank you so much.

I didn't care for the bunny ears in the topper, nor did I really care for the picks she chose to make it, but it's really the method that's important, and she delivered imo!
Decorator's Warehouse Quick question I have a 9 foot tree ........and 8 foot ceilings and I'm worried about the topper and I can't cut the bottom off or the top and it fits perfect but it's all the way to the top it's a pre-lit tree frosted lightly with pinecones about 60 around it has about 2000 tips
+Nina Haynes I don't know what to tell you! 9' tree & 8' ceilings doesn't sound like it's going to work. If you bend the top down that will take off 6" or so. If it was a 9' Neumantree purchased at Decorator's Warehouse, you can actually take off the bottom section to make a 7' tree with the Versa-Tree feature. Perhaps see if that is a feature of your tree. It might require a smaller stand.
At my age (65) I thought I knew just about everything with regard to decorating a Christmas Tree!! Wrong...🤔! I'll be changing things up next year, that's for sure. Already looking forward to it and I just put the tree back into my storage room today. I like planning ahead. 🤣

I "lost" her video in 2017 maybe and found it yesterday in October 2021. I was so excited and now I can't wait to decorate my tree
