Really miss Robert Forester. Great actor !!
It's Forster!
I liked him in the tv series Baretta!
Thanks for sharing this film The banker.
👍
R.I.P Robert Forster and Jeff Conway
And Duncan Regehr
Uhhmm ... Duncan isn't gone. Still kicking. (I wrote THE BANKER)@@carolegreen9938
@@carolegreen9938 DUNCAN REGEHR is still with us as far as I know. We've been in contact lately ... and by the way, he is a fantastic artist too.
You should see his art. Truly, fantastic stuff.
ps: I wrote the screenplay to THE BANKER, if that carries any ummfph to the subject.
Best-!

I agree with the anchor lady. Someone dies and all people care about is business as usual.
I really enjoyed this movie great watch thanks for the upload 😊
Great film I enjoyed it very much didn’t miss a minute of it
HBO, Cinamax, Blockbuster film. Having all those venues available caused a huge movie making boom in the late seventies that grew into the great film era of the 80s and 90s, allowing many low budget good films like this to be worth making. The pre internet era, in my opinion, was far superior to the modern 'connected' world we have now, the internet creating a sea of disconnected groups vulnerable to distorted propaganda. This sea change crept up on us, and is now drowning the unity this nation once possessed. I watch these old films fondly, remembering times when we truly were free, in every way.
I can appreciate your sentiment. Thank you for your comment.
Fair comment, but there’s no such thing as absolute Freedom. With Freedom comes Responsibility. Thank God that there’s so much surveillance with all the psychos and murderers at large in our world. If you looked into the amount of serious crimes, in the 20th Century that went undetected and unpunished until too late, you’d be horrified.
You sound like you know your stuff about the film industry. It’d be great to have a documentary about all that wouldn’t it?
We'll be Free Again. Donald is coming.
❤ Great comment. TY
THANK YOU-! I wrote THE BANKER (1989) and yes, you got that right, amigo.

THE BANKER (1989)
Nice movie!
Definitely worth the watch!! 👍🏿
A Richard Roundtree movie is always a safe bet for a descent evening of movie watching. I didn't think Robert Forster was even that young since everything I've seen him in he's...well...not as young as he is here. Leif Garrett and Jeff Conaway, well lets just say interesting in seeing one outside of his Taxi character (a little) and the other not trying to sing. The movie is worth the price of two small buckets of 🍿and a small 🧃.
Richard Roundtree introduced himself to me on the set of THE BANKER (1989) and we instantly hit it off. Both he and in fact, all of our cast were a dream to work with -- and especially Robert Forster.
Bob Forster became a dear friend, a mentor and a teacher of what is good and right ...
Things that I still use to this day on my sets as a commercial director and as a human being in all of the membership of my days.
By the way, I wrote the film.

Good film.
I would really like to watch a movie without ridiculous mistakes and unlikely scenarios...
Good movie!
Aahh so this is the blueprint for American Psycho with Christian Bale. Thank you for sharing.🤟
Yeah, truly ... when I saw AMERICAN PSYCHO ... I said to myself --
'Whoa, that's the movie I wrote ...'

You must be Dana Augustine!
When I saw that crossbow, I thought not another Patrick Bateman! 😁
@@carolannemckenzie3849 As you perhaps know ... 'Patrick Bateman' happened in 2000.
I wrote THE BANKER in the August thru October of 1988 and we started filming in February 1989.
An 'the crossbow' came about from when I was musing about what kind of bad guy weapon 'Spaulding Osbourne' (The Banker) should have and I found myself saying --
-- 'A laser-sighted crossbow.'
Besides ... it looks ever so cool onscreen and even perhaps was a tad more interesting than a mini-gun.
Thanks for the comment-!
Dana
Una película que promete mucho pero no tiene lo suficiente para satisfacer las expectativas del televidente con cinco puntos de diez es lo adecuado
Retro classic
VERY good movie! ----- Thanks a lot. R. Forester did an outstanding job.
Bob Forster was-IS a Prince in my book. A mentor, a teacher and a dear friend.
Sadly, Bob passed away in 2019 and a day doesn't go by that I don't think fondly of his humanity and genuine humanity. Lessons I have payed forward in hopefully ... everything and everyone I know and work with.
By the way, I wrote the film ...

"What amendment protected them?"
They made a many of these movies in the 1980 and 1990s, this was the era of the anti-hero hero or heroine. SOME were very other like this was a mirror on big city society
thanks..good movie
I swear he slips that curb or wall thing with that sweet ride lol 41:44 you can even hear it too lol
Good old school movie . Being a wealthy banker seemed to have gone to his head . Being privileged just wasn't enough . In the end , he dropped just like everyone else. Sooo , 👍🏻👍🏻up from me
Great wealth makes people insane. Today's world proves that conclusively.
1:30:00 😂 officer Dan was annoyed with that creature.
💕💕💕💕💕🥰✌🏽
REALLY NICE MOVIE !!!!
high heeled heroine
Yeh, cameraman forgot tell his light man to show up that day! It was the camera man’s first job!
Snoopy? Wrong! 💥🤣
THANK YOU-! f.y.i. ..... When I wrote that and other of the murder scenes, I wanted such characters to go out with a chuckle. It made the deaths not so grizzly.

He wanted to be on TV and now he is
Weird that she cant recognize her bosses voice
The "hunter" is coming so go and stand out in the open so he'll find you. The " hunter" then in full view to Keystone Cop type detective and on we go.
🌟
Killing time
Come on U-Tube..you can fit in another 10 commercials in a one and half hour film...Give us a break!!..nobody gives a damn about your ads!!!
The movie is ok but the light is too low. Why is it thriller movies are poor in light? It doesn't need to be!!
To add suspense .
@@hugohabicht9957no need to be dark - stupid actually !
In the nighttime scenes it tends to be dark. That’s nighttime for ya. But I agree some films aren’t bright enough. I’m watching at max brightness on my phone. At least on pcs and tv screens you can adjust the contrast & sharpness as well.
❤❤
It costs money to light a set.
That's the reason for the visuals.
Stupid but it's show business or in this case, not so much show but the sound is good.
Sound sure seems bad in movies now.
I can,t hear dialogue but rhe sound effects are too loud.
ACTION THRILLER MOVIE
👍👍👍
Good film,worth watching ,enjoy it
What is this film about?
Look at the title
I Love Robert Forster ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
I Love the feisty reporter❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
They were awesome together
Side note to 'Dan' (Robert Forster) and 'Sharon' (Shanna Reed) ... as many people thought their characters were married.
When I wrote the picture, I basically made it they had lived together (as a backstory) for about 5 years and she got pissed that he allegedly was seen with a never-seen woman named 'Donna' ...
But knowing the character that Bob Forster played, I'd say -- nupe, he never had anything to do with the mysterious 'Donna.'
But as you noticed, the lead characters survived the events of 'Spaulding Osbourne' (THE BANKER) played by the oh-so talented actor and artist, Duncan Regehr.
That ... and they got their doggo, 'Jasper' (in reality, the name of my late mother's Lab / Shepard mix) back as that's the last line of the film and the relationship was made vastly stronger:
DAN: "What're the odds on us getting Jasper back from your mother ..?"
SHARON: "Excellent."
FADE OUT
THE END
Thank you for the compliment to my characters and how they made you feel. You made my day-!

Who was she? The other reporter already mentioned her name who she was? Was she not listening?
Are we gonna have all these bloopers in this film? I will find them.
That was deliberate.
Not a bad plot it was shot a bit dark though.
the call the second girl made was from his house, the police cant trace calls in the fucking movie???
Why he all greased up for the kill. ?
Because it made Duncan look good for the camera. I should know, because I wrote the film and was on the set everyday.
Welcome to Hollywood.

Darn good for a format movie. Think it was the casting, & script
I enjoyed the character development.
Now look here Sister, us tv detectives don't like to develop our characters in public see. Flauntin' is what that is see. Us Dicks don't like Flaunters. You go around flauntin' you is liable ta get slapped aroun'. Hey sum'n tol me youse aint a broad!!!

Top film 9.9/10 thanks. Shame the murderer was extremely sloppy with evidence. But I suppose it had to solvable, within the film time.

The phrase: 'beyond belief' comes to mind. 'Far-fetched, pathetic, cheap and third rate' also for the bill.
Duncan Regehr has done a good job being a peculiar hunter...Interesting plot.

Another waste of Film!.. There's always a Smart-Ass Cop in every Film..
He had to be that way to tie in with the divorced wife reporter story. Do you know many police that aren’t SA?
Made for tv crap yuck.
