Hi Benjy. Great tips! Our family wears lime green t-shirts when biking. We're down in Texas and folks down here aren't used to seeing too many bikes so the like green shirts are a must! By the way, I've been reading your blog and found that I had a similar experience. I got into cycling because of MMM. (I'm a big fan as well.) Cycling, has changed our family's life for the better. In fact, I started a family cycling oriented Facebook group and I'm considering starting a blog such as yours to spread the bike joy and help more families. Mine would be centered around specific places in Texas to ride with kids. Justifying the time required, though is my concern. Perhaps you could help out with that. I'd love to chat briefly to learn how long projects like this takes. Thanks for spreading the bike joy!
Jorge~ So sorry for the delayed response :) Glad to hear you're going to be a healthy competitor ;) I recommend checking out Income School YT channel if you're interested in blogging. Hands-down the best out there. And if you want to get into YT (I recommend it), then check out Channel Makers. All the best!! Rotting for you.
Two things: Tips to get through intersections with stop lights? It makes me super nervous! I don't want to hold up the cars by taking so long! I'd be biking with my daughter in the trailer. Do I just go with the crosswalk/sidewalks instead of the road? And two, I'm allergic to peanut butter but I'm pretty sure its a pantry item! haha
Hey Rebekah, good to hear from you. I totally get your nervousness with riding with a trailer at an intersection. Personally, I always take the crosswalk if there is one. I tend to always take the safer route, even if it is a little inconvenient or slower. In the end, whatever is most enjoyable for you should be taken into consideration. So if intersections make you nervous (as they do me), then go with your feeling on that.
ANTICIPATION is key. Never assume anything about someone else's behavior and always have an escape path. Both pedestrians and other cyclists can randomly STOP or abruptly change directions in the middle of the path without any thought that anyone else could possibly be around, particularly during non-peak traffic.

I’m thinking about buying the thule chariot cheetah xt 2 what are your thoughts on it?
Good bike trailer, I personally prefer the Thule Chariot Cross or Lite :)
