I just bought the Zeiss Terra 8x42 today. i compared with same size and price Nikon Monarch 7 and Vortex Viper using my cell phone adaptor in the store. The Zeiss image quality was the best of the 3 when you blow-up the cell phone image ten-fold. The Vortex was sharper, brighter in the middle, but distorted and fuzzy at the edges and a bit tiring on the eyes. it also had too stiff focus and 2 m short focus. The Nikon looked almost as sharp as the Zeiss, and easy on the eyes and a little brighter, but blowing up the cell phone image showed less resolution and much more chromatic aberration, and a 2.5m short focus - all of which are terrible for bird pics. The Zeiss was a clear first choice on image quality for these 500€ models, and so far I’m glad to have it. (Still it would be nice to have a tripod mount like the other 2, and a more sold feel and a wider field of view for cell phone digiscoping. Zeiss should fix this and do better than a 2 year guarantee)
Bottom line is Zeiss need to market these made in Germany and bring the optical quality as close as possible to the conquest which might never be possible
If someone does no research and buys the cheapest pair of binoculars from a brand thinking there will be no difference in quality between the price points offered by that brand they only have themselves to blame.
Considering the pricerange 400-500€, for a hunter who needs let´s say 8x magnification, wich binocular would you recommend? Has to be usable in twilight situation.

Why these binoculars are so costly
500 euros for something that is made in China? how shameless they are.🙄
Everything is made in China in 2022 lol
Iphones are Also made in china
😂thinking the same thing
China will dominate the market.
When they first appeared in the states, there were rebates and coupons available bringing the price down below $300.
