Directed by Thomas Leader, this documentary is about Alan John 'AJ' Miller, an Australian Christian spiritual leader who has claimed to be the resurrected Jesus Christ.
Miller is the leader of Divine Truth, a Christian organization based in Kingaroy, Queensland, which he founded in 2007. His teachings are global, reaching tens of thousands across the internet, and his followers worship him worldwide, funding his existence and tours. Many travel thousands of miles to hear him teach, where he is often accompanied by his partner Mary Suzanne Luck, who claims to be the reincarnation of Mary Magdalene. She had never regarded herself as such prior to meeting Miller.
Alan John Miller has claimed that he can remember 'everything' that has occurred over the past 2000 years. Despite this claim, he claims to be unable to speak Aramaic, the language spoken by Jesus. He has also claimed to have met many prominent historical figures during the afterlife, including Plato, Socrates and Aristotle.
Like many cult leaders, Alan Miller has made numerous 'prophecies' that have turned out to be false. In 2012, he claimed that tsunamis as high as 100 meters would devastate the coasts of Australia. He also encouraged his followers to see the film '2012', as he claimed the events of the film regarding the end of the world would literally eventuate.

When I listened to just the first part of this interview the first thing that came to mind was why Jesus would have fear

I agree with you in principle but bear in mind that AJ Miller isn't claiming to be the Jesus Christ that was described exactly in the Bible/Gospel stories. Yes, he says some of it is accurate but he also says there are a lot of things in the Bible that were said about Jesus that are false.
He is basically claiming to be the historical Jesus that has come back in another body. I'm not a Christian believer myself but I accept that there was a historical Jesus who may have said and done some of the things the Bible claims but not everything.
Now, to be clear, I'm not convinced AJ Miller is even the historical Jesus either but I'm just pointing out that this is what he is claiming, hence, he won't be like that Jesus you might believe in, presuming he is the historical Jesus somehow come back. he's more like Jesus the man, the faulty human being rather than the perfect, omnipotent divine Jesus of the Bible. One sees a cult leader when he teaches something that doesn't relate to anything teached before. Every historic religious figure related to the metaphysics and dominant religious exegesis of their time and place, Jesus to Judaism, Buddha to the Vedas etc. None of these figures just came up with natural law themselves and explained the world from 0 based on a completely novel and isolated concept. Maybe you can find some kind of basic psychology in AJs teachings but they couldn't withstand centuries of debate and critical examination based on an established set of metaphysical laws. I mean you gotta understand how religion works and why it still exists. It's not just baseless crap a single person puked out on a white board.
