Zo mocht ik het magische moment filmen dat het nieuw vlaggenschip van P&O langzaam de pier verlaat.
MS Iona is een cruiseschip van Excellence-klasse dat wordt ingezet voor P&O Cruises, een dochteronderneming van Carnival Corporation & plc. Gebouwd door Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Duitsland, werd ze in oktober 2020 afgeleverd en werd ze het nieuwe vlaggenschip van de lijn. Wikipedia (Engels)

We were due to go to the Fiords in a suite right on the front on deck 8 just above the promenade deck next month (April). All cruises with P&O cancelled today until September. WONDERFUL VIDEO and the best close up views of IONA anywhere - thank you so much! Gerry Hobbs

We were due to sail to the Fjords on Iona in 2020. Looking forward to sailing on her hopefully next year.
The best thing we did was leave the EU. When this ship sail around and you see the British flag it dose put a smile on your face. We are British and this is how we do it.
We are on a seacation later this year. Can't wait.

I love how this video is for a P&O ship but there showing allot of Holland America home corporate office in Rotterdam.
Hahaha... that's right and it's start also with the old cruiseship from the Holland America Line, the SS Rotterdam which serves as a stationed hotel now. :-)

Very impressive floating skyscraper. I hope they won't get bankrupt as a result of the Covid19 restrictions.
Me too. Prices will be higher for a while to catch up and recuperate their losses and also because of reduced passenger occupancy. But hopefully they'll pull through.
Sorry to disappoint you. But her sister ship that's not made yet I'm booked on so when they are taking booking that far ahead they are doing very well.

You don't after be rich to sail on her. Just work.
Wonder if the floating block of flats will ever carry the number of passengers intended. The cruise industry will unlikely be able to operate the way it was doing for years, if ever again.
