There are roughly 500 000 registered rugby players in SA, with 600 contracted semi and professional players, with a couple hundred contracted overseas as well. That is what you compete against to make the Springbok team. You might want to take a look at SA schools rugby, we are touted to have the best schools rugby program in the world, grey college from Bloemfontein is regularly rated the best rugby school in the world
Wow! That's a massive population of rugby players. It's such an incredible accomplishment to make the nations team. SA schoolboy is amazing! I have a video coming out soon for schoolboy as well 🙌🏽
Talking rubbish again I see. No. Your schools program is definitely not the best in the world. That's just you saying it. How can they be the best in the world when Hamilton Boys High from New Zealand humiliated their best school Greys College at world schools festival ? Best in the world my arse. Fkn dreamers.
Please get in touch with Tim from Egg Chasers Rugby,he is coming over soon to South Africa.I promise you that you will not pay a cent for booze/food or accomodation the people of South Africa will have you.
How amazing that would be... South Africans looking forward to welcoming Tim from Egg Chasers when he visits for the Ireland and All Blacks tour in South Africa... and South Africans are appreciative of all the non biased sports podcasters and would welcome you with open arms as well...
I will do my best to get in touch with Tim for sure. My goal is get out there to South Africa, meet everyone, and experience a match. I'll 100% keep you updated when I'm coming out there 🙌🏽
@@QSNggEggchasers is a soy boy like Squidge. Don't get involved with them. They both have extremely nuanced outlooks on rugby. A very northern view of rugby. Us Kiwis tune in to their videos for a chuckle but never take anything they say serious. We also love laughing at their pale git fans glazing over their RUclips heroes in the comments.
Springboks and Fiji are my favorite rugby teams for sure. There is something that really resonates with me when it come to SA and their players. Their philosophy and style reminds me a lot of my upbringing. I feel their values and stories relate to my family a lot and how I was raised
Thanks for this. I was wondering what the psychology was about. It looked like this weird almost parent-child dynamic but it made sense when you made the connection with MJ and the chip on the shoulder. Rassie talks about emotionality lasting 5 minutes, but something personal lasts 80 minutes. And it clearly works
Massive love Joost! Yeah that psychology was something I've seen from some of the greatest mentors and coaches. Rassie is definitely a master of creating the right anchors and triggers to fuel his men
Chasing The Sun 2 is a raw insight into the Bok Squad, and it is fantastic that they completely exposed themselves to better the sport, not just in South Africa but the World as a whole. I sincerely hope that youngsters in the US can watch this documentary and build excitement for the sport. The US has fantastic athletes, but sadly, most will only have a short career in the NFL.
You said it perfectly Wes, they really did expose themselves to the world as a whole. I hope this documentary inspires more to become great and helps rugby grow even larger.
I have to ask, have you seen the movie 'Invictus'? A lot of what you are talking about is the plot of that movie. Morgan Freeman, Matt Damien directed by Clint Eastwood. It's worth a watch. I'm not a 'Boks fan but I admire what they have done by investing in the infrastructure necessary to bring their black peoples into the embrace of rugby.
I have not had a chance to watch Invictus yet. I've heard that it's incredible and have it on my list to watch It's cool to see how for South Africa has come as a nation and bringing the country together through rugby
S2 ep 3 and 4 the best the whole bloody series.not by chance that the current players majority comes from challenging backgrounds cause Doc Ras comes from an advertersity background.thats why he knows who to pick and how he can play with that emotions.warriors who's willing to die for the course .
I really wished you watched the Argentina Documentary in between the Chasing the Sun seasons. The grit the Los Puma players showed during the Covid lockdowns were inspirational for a lot of New Zealanders and South Africans. We will never forget their sacrifices!!
That makes sense. It's cool that they played NZ in the final and that game decided who got to 4 WCs first. That's such an incredible storyline between the best rugby teams in the world
Disappearing cooks, favourable draws, and sissy new rugby laws have all transpired to make the Springboks the biggest fluke tin arses in all of sports history. And even when they win, they never ever win in style. Such ugly rugby. Two tries in four world cup finals is so South African. That's why they still get no respect. People don't consider them true champions. Even most Saffas will tell you that 15 v 15 in that world cup final, the All Blacks win every time.
South Africa gave a collective sigh of relief when Manie Libbok were given the boot in the semi-final when he got an historic early 30min sub and being replaced by Pollard. Its explained in full in episode 4. Love your content!
Scotland were a massive risk for SA and they were top level competitive. He stated that just fine. This is an excellent reaction by someone that knows what they're talking about.
Thank you so much for this from a South African. Yes the Boks really give us hope. However this world cup did our nerves serious damage😂
Thanks so much for checking out my video I appreciate you! I love SA and the Boks. Those games would've been nerve racking 🤣
Definitely not the rightful champions
I love QSN because helps me play tag "Look at persons shoulders and don't let him outside"

The best surprise this Wednesday... seeing a review of Chasing The Sun 2... thought we would have to wait much longer

Best part is Nienaber getting asked if he worries about Manie, and he answers with " Not if he wins Man of the Match."
I love that!!
As a south african I can agree that the springboks do give the country hope and it really brings people together
I really love that!

I hope they went well 🙌🏽
Can't wait for the next world cup to see our boys take 3 in a row❤
It's going to be fun to watch!
The Springboks won't win another world cup for a very long time. Mark my words.
You should react to “all time greatest rugby tries” by gg montages, would be nice to just look at the best tries instead of players for a change
I'll check that out for sure! Thanks for the recommendation on that 🙌🏽
Scotland have never been the top side in the world bro
Thanks for the feedback on that boss 🙌🏽
