- This video is of my big brother Kyle DeLane getting honorable transported by the Air force into the Hearse. This was a profound experience for my family, we are all so proud of him.
The following was read as a gate announcement
Ladies and Gentleman,
At this time flight #1271 is bringing home technical sergeant Kyle Joseph DeLane, of the United States Airforce, age 34. He was a member of the 338th Recruiting Squadron, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base serving as a recruiter in Columbus, Ohio. He is being escorted by his supervisor.
Sgt DeLane entered the Air Force in July 2008.
He was born in Texas. His home of record is Maryland.
On the tarmac to welcome him home are his parents, siblings, other relatives, and his unit first sergeant. Joining them are members of the BWI airport family.
We thank all our Active and Veterans of our military service for their service to our country.
Honors will be conducted as the "Dignify Transfer" occurs from the plane to the hearse.
Honor Technical Sergeant Kyle Joseph DeLane, by placing your hand over your heart as the Air Force honor guard transfers Sgt DeLane from the plane to the hearse for his final journey home.

I'm proud to be an USAF Veteran. It's an honor to watch this video. I truly thank your brother for his service and dedication to this country.
We did one of these while deployed and I'll never forget it. The entire base that could, probably like 2,000 or so, all stood at arms as they put our heroes on to the C130s ( I think ) to go back to a better base, then back to the states. It was terribly saddening and angering at the same time. The sun was about an hour from setting and the dry, sandy wind was blowing as they played taps. Your brother is a hero.
Wow this makes my heart pound. I remember being in the military I was on funeral detail, and we would carry coffins of soldiers we never even knew and it was so many emotions flowing through me. I can only imagine how hard it is to actually lose family. I hope your videos blow up to the millions.

Brandon ive been following you for a while now, this is the first time ive seen this video and it was a roller coaster of emotions, my brother is a marine so this video really resonated with me. I attended a ceremony similar to this called a Fallen Warrior Movement in the middle east, the phase after departing the war zone and before the casket is flown back stateside. When see the casket and realize that the servicemember made the ultimate sacrifice, you get pretty emotional yourself.
When you see him again you will have a lifetime of memories to share with him. RIP Kyle Delane

as a former honor guard I am absolutely stunned and shocked at such a sloppy looking guard crew ! and the disrespect they show not only for the family but for the fallen service member! The light-skinned African-American who was the third to the rear on the left side was talking so loud you could hear it all the way over to the family! You're not supposed to carry on a conversation you to be at attention or to be parade rest he's talking like he's out for a beer and a fat dude in front of him is a shame both to the Air Force enter the honor guard.
America stands behind you and your brothers service no matter where he was or doing , he put his life ahead of his own and we all stand together for our soldiers and family. Your not alone .

Apparently, the "some folks" thought it was too much work to perform these types of respectful activities.
How very tragic but typical of a country and is crumbling in front of our eyes.
IT was interesting to see the state trooper taking charge instead of the military escort responsible for what occured.

Bill I have Googled this - it was not a natural death, and it seems as if he had undergone major spinal surgery in the previous year(s).
A formal autopsy was done, but no details are mentioned - I got this info from a public site linked to the Air Force.
I was very concerned that the family and escort were too close to the backdraft of the jet engines - I was glad to see them moved further to the front area of the plane.
I think they put him in the hearse wrong. I think the stars are at the head of the body and the body and casket always rides head first. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Rest in pease Sgt from a ex Air Force vet.

It’s from people who’ve never made the conscious decision to stand for something greater than themselves and have no idea what true sacrifice is. That’s the kind of people who dislike people who do stand for values and morals and are willing if need be to give what’s needed, up to and including their life.

You obviously are not familiar with how these type ceremonies are conducted. No disrespect shown by the Air Force. I am a Air Force retiree and have seen too many of these.
Base Honor Guard members consist of E-4 and below. Not only do we conduct 2 and 4 man funeral details and colors ceremonies for promotions and retirements, but airmen perform Dignified Transfers and Active Duty funerals. This is how it is normally done by Air Force Base Honor Guard. It's a humbling experience for junior airmen to render honors for other members, no matter their rank, and a lot of responsibility.

@@irollerblade89 when they go to e-4 and below. I retired in 95 and our base honor guard was of all enlisted ranks. When needed for funeral the honor guard was pretty much rank equivalent. They didn't carry the casket until at least 3 months of training, some took longer. They actually practiced with a real casket and hearse and aircraft mockup.
I am sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in God's word the Bible at Revelation 21:4 where it states that God will bring an end to DEATH.
