Im not a musician, but if you are in a band you should know what the hell you are working with and know what your equipment does. That goes for any job profession
@@WeRide4Snow I've seen sets live where a singer/guitarist literally needed someone from stage crew to "fix" their cable from not being in all the way..
... and how he occasionally breaks from being Brent and goes into Pustulus... Nonetheless, "Pustulus" knows his shit... really good to see an episode of Rigged where the musician actually knows what he's using as well as how and why...
Brent is definitely the man. One of my favorite players of all time. Knows his stuff and builds and repairs amps. Has impeccable taste in guitars. I love the new RIP guitars he has on the current tour.
Got the chance to meet this guy at his house in Spotsylvania VA at his family's yard sale! If you're reading this Brent, I'm still pissed at myself that I never got you to sign that yamaha keyboard I bought from you guys. I still have it.
I knew we were going to "geek out" about gear here but I didn't expect the scumdogs of the universe to come back from slaughtering the feeble humans and say something like "A 5 pin midi with phantom power. Yeah...". Most guitarists know their geer but damn. He's really knowledgeable. If he wasn't an intergalactic vice and slaughter overlord, he might have a career as an engineer for a gear company or something. He might look kind of funny wearing a suit and tie though.
Love the guys in Gwar. Always funny and brilliant! I almost forgot how cool rig rundowns were before everybody just said "this is my helix/kemper/axe fx, these are my guitars, bye". Ha. This dude knows his stuff. The only thing he is not satisfied with is loadbox/speakersim, +TwoNotesTV can't you just send him a torpedo live? Gwar endorsers always look good on ads!
My thoughts exactly with the load box! Hopefully Trey or somebody at Gear Gods showed him the Torpedo Live, this guys would probably really dig it since he could use his own impulse responses from those Marshall cabs.
It's pretty cool the he's still using GCX, Palmers and JMP... Guys only care for their fractals, Kempers and torpedos nowadays, nothing wrong with it, but is good to see a guy still commiting to the nice stuff we had back in 2010 and sounded killer.
im using a jmp1 . its an awesome pre . so quick to dial in classic marshal tones , full midi , tweak and save. aside from direct recording , don't see any real need for modelers for live . im adding a sansamp psa pre for some mesa tones , recall them both at will from midi , mix and match and blend them , it will be great. as for load in , ive got 2 x 2x12 , a small rack and midi controller . its nothing super difficult or heavy .
I always kinda liked Dean guitars, except for the headstocks. That custom green alligator skin with their other headstock KILLS it!!! Pustulus my friend, you KILL it!?🤘😈🤘
I haven't heard Gwar since the 2nd album, I'm surprised he uses jcm 800's. And yes this guy knows his own gear 👍. As a guy who plays bass guitar and drums it's amazing how many people i run into that are musicians and I'll try to talk gear with them and they are like "i don't know what cymbals i have", or "not sure what amp etc 😳.
Awesome video. I like how he tried to keep his GWAR voice going, and said 'fuck it' when he really started talking about the set up. Fuckin gear nerds.
Don't really listen to the band but I find them incredibly entertaining. Nice to see this guy is a full gear-nerd. Great vid! What were the pickups in his new Custom Dean?
I'm guessing that it's part of his costume, like Gene Simmons (I may be wrong there)? Otherwise, I can't see that being easy at all, especially live in the heat of it when you're trying to change guitars on the fly.
I love Gwar, they almost sound like Caveman metal. I been into them since scum dog's. When Dave passed,me and my buddy called off work, got buzzed, and rocked every album. Dude knows his shit,,I just play through a old metal zone, and Bluetooth speaker. But I'm still trying. Very kool video
There’s a little bit of a sole on the bottom that’s shaped like a normal shoe I think, so the bottom of the prosthetic feet are slightly off the ground still.
You used a mesa boogie for Battle Maximus.. Should’ve stuck to that. Those tones sounded so rich and pure. Personally I wasn’t a big fan of the blood of gods. That’s just my opinion don’t take it personal.
A guitarist that actually knows what he's using. Much Respect!
More than that, a guitarist who WORKS on his own stuff
@@wmxx2000 More and more guitarists these days are getting into that.

I never met a touring musician that didn’t know what they were using.
13:24 - HOLY CRAP! Rush’s “Necromancer?” This is why Pusty has become my favorite member; so knowledgeable in music.
And in another vid he plays Satan rule this world by Deicide, absolutely a monster guy!
I like how he did this rundown more like Brent, and less as the Pustulus character.
True

he knows his shit for sure. awesome rig

Never was into GWAR, but this guy knows his stuff and his rig sounds great, complete with dime squeal at the end, cheers
One of my most favorite guitarists, and that says a lot. Pusty had some giant shoes to fill, and he exceeded my hopes! Gwar fan since 1990.

It’s Awesome to See GWAR back on RUclips showing off there gear

He really knows his stuff. I also like that it's a classic style rig.

what this guy needs is a gimmick
I hope this was sarcastic. I mean if you're serious, just look at the guy. He's a walking, talking gimmick.
It's pretty cool the he's still using GCX, Palmers and JMP...

Haha it's because he doesn't have to load it in and out. I'm ready to stop carrying around my half stack
Lol 2010 as if that was so long ago. Also yes this guy would probably just use a kemper if he had to drag this shit around.

I’ve never really listened to GWAR but Pustulus Maximus sounds like the most badass name ever
This was how a rig rundown should b. True musicians know thier gear 🤘
Man of all the things I expected in those Deans I never would have imagined Lindy Fralins lol.
Good to see a fellow Metaller giving Lindy pickups some love!
I did not expect him to start playing the necromancer by rush. damn lol
IKR, this guy has such great taste.
Does he have like cut outs at the bottom of those feet because it looks hard as shit to hit a patch for his pedal.
Yes he does
Uh, I, just, watched, "this", in total amazement !!!
Awesome !!!
Never would of imagined.....hes's awesome all the around!!! Will check more of him out for sure.
Hell yeah! One of the coolest guy! Knows it all!
You gotta bring this series back man
I think I did over 100 episodes, it was fun but I'll only bring it back when I get the chance to do Metallica
@@treyxaviermusic thanks for getting back to me 👍🏻
RIP Flattus
All Hail Flattus!
I got a 1981 lead series, I handwired it a got rid of the PCb. It rocks when cranked.

That guitar sounds amazing.
Pustulus: Technical jargon about Amps/Speakers.....Me: I love lamp....
Brent knows his shit for sure! He builds amps too. I'm waiting for ther Purgason Amplification protos to drop...
I need to creep on up to Richmond if he starts releasing anything. Might grab something
Sick lead tone nice to hear someone who knows gear
I’m glad he was out of character, dude knows his shit. Thanks for posting
So awesome man. I'm a huge dimebag fan too so I GOTTA have at least one piece of gear that pays homage. This was rad. Thanks for the inspiration
G W A R R R R G H. !!! LOVE THIS BAND AN THE RIGGS !
O timbre clean mais lindo que eu vi até hoje ❤
If he grips the mic any harder, it will merge into his costume
Legend has it that the mic IS part of his costume now!
firmly grasp it.
I own one of his guitars, one of his blakhart customs he owned.
BH guitars and Monson are all I wanna play and I have got my hands on either :^)
Super wicked ml collection
That custom is top notch
Awesome video. I like how he tried to keep his GWAR voice going, and said 'fuck it' when he really started talking about the set up. Fuckin gear nerds.
Thx for sharing this ❤️
Rush the Necromancer respect!!
He slowly started sounding like himself
Starts off talking in gwar character and then he’s like nah just gonna talk normal lol
Pustulus Maximus! YEAH!
Don't really listen to the band but I find them incredibly entertaining. Nice to see this guy is a full gear-nerd. Great vid! What were the pickups in his new Custom Dean?
Fleor's from China!
X2n in the bridge neck unknown
Fucking sweet! Thanks man!
I liked the Necromancer quote when he played clean. Great sound too! Not a fan of Dean but they fit him well.
how does he get a strap over the shoulders?
I'm guessing that it's part of his costume, like Gene Simmons (I may be wrong there)? Otherwise, I can't see that being easy at all, especially live in the heat of it when you're trying to change guitars on the fly.
strap goes under the pads... trust me. =)
The whole running through phantom power through a midi cable thing blew my mind!
Same my jaw hit the floor
This guy likes to tinker and knows his shit. I like him.
This is a really good gear geek out.
Still no release of his custom Dean..

Always preferred Crate and Orange but no exceptions the less, great set up
How does he control the footswitches with those things on his feet?
There’s a little bit of a sole on the bottom that’s shaped like a normal shoe I think, so the bottom of the prosthetic feet are slightly off the ground still.
Billy Trespassers thanks man... That's a tough costume to carry lol
Fucking monster knows it's gear
Can anyone tell me the names of the songs he plays at 13:24 and at 14:00
Marco Cruz the necromancer by rush and war on GWAR by GWAR
GWAR VOICE GWAR VOICE, oh and uh the is the main thing I've been using... GWAR VOICE.
are those dean usa ml
So what are the pickups in the new Dean???
Fleor's from China!
so fuckin cool
How the hell can he use the footswitches on the behringer with those giant feet?!?
I’m not a GWAR fan so sorry for the lack of knowledge but what song is he playing at 13:22? Please and thank you
He’s just riffing around, but it sounds heavy influence on Alice In Chains rotten apple
Necromancer by Rush
@@purgasound thank you!
He should have wore his night mask for the interview 😂
Night mask?Explain yourself bohab lol
Needless to say he's come down to hearth, lol
Good shits🤘🏻
Oh Yeah, that all sounds good! That is how to open for a rigged show.
I never had any idea how much you can have just to play guitar 🎸.
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Its real simple. I just plug it in and (15 minutes later) and thats it.
i dont know if ur being sarcastic or not, but it is very simple. and sounds great.
Could be scott Ian under the mask 😂
Even aliens know that Marshall is the best.
How do you stomp your boxes with those big ass creature feet?
What about a GWAR pedal? i mean Ministry has one and the misfits have one so.....why not Gwar?...Yeah
You used a mesa boogie for Battle Maximus..
Should’ve stuck to that. Those tones sounded so rich and pure.
Personally I wasn’t a big fan of the blood of gods.
That’s just my opinion don’t take it personal.
Aesthetic White Saturn 🤷🏼♂️
How the fuck is he gonna use his pedalboard with those big ass feet ?! 😂😂
there is NO GWAR without Brockie
Tom Musick He said he wanted GWAR to go on forever, with or without him. Dave is dead Oderus is not. Gwar still slays
Piss off. LOL
WHAT A JOKE,
a joke that tours the world... how's your band doin?
