The whole band was epic. I was about a foot away from the stage in Fort Lauderdale, and was mesmerized by the drummer when he was playing this song. He was really working it.
Saw these guys supporting Fields of the Nephilim in Bristol UK, back in early 90s. Thought they were great, and the debut album too. This song in particular is absolutely majestic.
Still does my heart good to revisit old memories and music from MMH. Added bonus to see a band I worked for back in the day slowly be discovered by more and more people all these years later. Rare is the time I see or hear of anyone giving fair listen to their music and not at least admit a new found love.
Followed them since 1988 on the rd in the uk James Hall was asking after me Please pass on my details I know like me he will very happy to hear from each other 2002/4? In Camden @ the monarch pleasure club gig seems so long ago now I thank you in advance
"Amazing band. Wish they'd have been promoted properly... would've been as big as Pearl Jam." Fuck that. I think they would have been as big as Olivia Newton John. Definitely ONJ level.

They didn't make it because they didn't stay together. The small label have them a crappy deal and they didn't ride it out til a major bought it out. James used to play at our club as The James Hall Band. Good luck finding the cassette of his early solo career. Great guy , wonderful live show.
Saw mmh in 1988 in UK followed them throughout the 1990 monter is bigger than the man uk tour Saw James solo through the 1990s on to the pleasure club last time I saw James was with the pleasure club in 2002/4? @wolfstan64 They came out when glam butt rock was at its height of popularity. Only if this album came out a few years later, they would have found more success.

I was there that night. superb gig
I have always loved the turnaround at 3:00, almost as if they combined two songs into one.

Amazing band. Wish they'd have been promoted properly... would've been as big as Pearl Jam.
***** ... you can thank Silvertone Records and flimsy management here and there for this ....I watched it all happen, beginning to end.
+AVOLITE SERIOUSLY ? Who are you?
Aaron Newton .. I was part of their road crew. From almost the very beginning of the band forming till right up to the end of the band all together.

is it true this song says... "he is coming"
when played backwards?
If so, who is "he"?
A lot of us are still wondering why they did not make it......
Did they make any official videos?
There was a video for Wildman/Childman produced and was shown quite often on MTV back in the day.
I have a hard time understanding why Mary My Hope never gained more notoriety. Instead shit like Tone Loc and Milli Vannili had the spotlight in 1989.
