    My 7 horse I trained , was a pasture pet of 8 years was not responding to regular horse training.. so I tried ' target - treat-training.or I work for treats'. And that little mare became a very well trained / bomb proof horse!!!

      Well considering, as a farrier who did zebra work said, they can kick you with all four feet at the same time they bite you.
      Remember, humans chose animals with traits that enabled domestication: higher tolerance for something fearful, docility, breeding in captivity, among other things.
      Horses have been selected over time to put up with human captivity and work pressures, zebras have, that entire time, been in a battle with predators.
      Even more interesting, humans did not domesticate the equid until after h. Sapiens was out of africa, which tells you a bulk of equid’s experience with us was as groceries.
      So clicker work helps keep all of the zookeepers parts in one place.

    😊 They are so precious.
    Everything eats them!!! I can not believe you said that. That makes me so sad.😢

    Really clearly illustrates the difference between *domesticated* equuids and truly wild ones.
    Zebras =\= mustangs 🙃

    Are zebras equine or just convergent evolution?

      They are in the family Equidae and the genus Equus. They are indeed equine!
