BIG LIKE #####5….love the Coleman’s Lanterns…love ALL lanterns and lamps! This one is very nice Dominic!….you did an AWESOME job taking it stripping it down!
I have a 220J and I took the burner tube assembly off the frame by un-crimping the tube at the base. Used a modified punch and a hammer to re-spread the crimps on the tube. Had to on mine because it was a basket case of a rust bucket., The entire frame had rusted. It now looks like new.
WOW that was really interesting and entertaining. You are so talented. You were like a surgeon with that lantern. It really turned out nice. Thanks so much for sharing. Take care and have a great day.
Great video Mr.Dom! These classics need to remain in the world for sure! Love this video my friend! Stay awesome and see you on the next one Mr.Dom! Cheers, Kimmers and Jerbs #22ADAY I'll never quit quitting 👍🏼🇺🇸🔥🔪🔥🇨🇦👍🏼
Hi Dominic, thanks for you video! I am trying to restore a lantern I bought as well, it isn't working well as of now. I saw that you soaked the frame in the vinegar and salt mixture to get rid of the rust. It came out great and I was wonder if you can tell me how you make that mixture? Thank you!
You’re welcome! Add about a cup of salt to a gallon of vinegar! You can use citric acid also. Good luck and thanks for watching brother, I appreciate it!
You will never guess what I did to my old formaly rusty 220E ? I painted my cage with Rustoleum high heat 2000 degree flat black. You actually got me thinking because it took a week or so to get the rust off. Of course the plating was way to corroded and didn't look so well so it got sprayed. I'm not finished yet. Your 220j is in 75% better shape than mine. Did you make your own fount clamp ? I don't have one yet. Also, you do not have a black collar lantern. They usually are on the red 200A models.
Oh wow the 200A! Maybe that’s what I read about! I started using electrolysis! It works really well! I’m also thinking about making a mini sand blaster! I did build this vise, Robert from Bluegrass Bushcraft has a video on making one and he also sells them! It’s a must have! Thanks for watching brother, I appreciate it!
Hey - I have a model 220J that has good pressure, but won't light. you can even see the gas pressing on the flame of my lighter. any thoughts why it wouldn't light?
Could be a clogged generator or a bent pricker. Is the air tube and burner tubes clean? If you take the generator off do you see fuel coming out when you turn the valve on? Let me know.

Also Dom, try using citric acid in a pot heated on the stove. They say that's the best method for the cages

@@Dominic.Minischetti Thanks! I will give that a try.
Were do you get your decals from
I get from eBay and Old Coleman Parts.
If it was me, I would not do anything with that collar except clean it with mild detergent and water
Yes that’s what I did!
First
Oh yeah! Nice brother!
Tengo una 220j pero no prende que puedo verificar
I would start with the generator, make sure it’s clean. Make sure the fuel is fresh and the pump holds pressure.
Do you know which Mantles fit on the Coleman Lantern Model 220H?
Number 21 mantels fit all the 220 models!
