cant do hats with buttons on top. My sweat oxidizes with the metal and crystalizes on it, meaning there's a white gross sweat-encrusted button that is impossible to clean off. If the hat is light colored, the metal rusts from the sweat and streaks onto the hat. Just go without a button top. Also, good advice on satellite/locator beacon. Apple 14 has SOS satellite.
I absolutely agree with getting the bigger volume vest. the difference in weight and pack down size is next to nothing. Also, for summer time I love to fill a bladder full of Ice and water (very heavy on the ice) for the back panel. It is a game changer on a hot day!
@@MountainHighLife I have a relatively short drive to my trail heads, 15-20 minutes, but if it's any longer I put the bladder in a small cooler and cover it with an ice block. That keeps the ice from melting really well.
Another vote for your first vest being on the larger volume side! After a couple of years, I've now bought a 6L as well (since it's more than enough most of the time) but 12L was the way to go to start off.
Short bills good for rainy days or hunting season where I might not wear a hat otherwise (Got one in bright orange.) Ciele needs to sponsor you for always rocking their logo.. their hats are perfect
First aid kit is very dependent on the person and the area they run in. For me I have to carry an Epi-pen and also several post exposure wipes for poison ivy. Good video though.
haha if you can do a little at a time, you'll build up your collection in no time ;) also this is a great time of year to scout out some sales and thankfully the gear will last you a long time!
that's my only fear with the size up- I pray that one day athleisure will be an acceptable form of business casual so we can wear athletic apparel at the office LOL
Get well soon!! Now I know what you wear and use on the trails! Very informative and interesting. Take care of yourself my sweets❤
Love my Ciele hats!

Yep, I love that Ciele hat, and have the same one. I have another Ciele hat too, they're the best!

That was a cool insight Steph, thank you. As my journey progresses, I can see a place for everything you showed. TP necessity engaged.

I’ve go the 7s as well and really want to go bigger, but it really is big! Hard for everyday wear, fitting under a long sleeve top, etc. 😭

We do have aquaphor in Canada 😊

Fantastic video. I love hearing and seeing gear breakdowns. I just hate that Garmin donated to Trump's campaign.
Ugh, hate this too.
