Better team in the first half...you having a laugh? It was 50/50
No real quality added in the summer. Worst transfer window since covid season. 70M in the bank though. Same old.
We mainly speak about the technical ability of a player in respect to competing in Europe but ultimately it comes down to naive players making poor decisions on and off the ball.
But that’s still part of the quality, we buy better players they make better decisions

Disappointing but looking back at the highlights Lagerbielke red was ridiculous he put his arm across the top of the Feyenoord player’s chest / neck and he’s going down as if he’s been punched in the face and holding his face, isn’t that assimilation? Straight red for Holme ok his studs are up because it’s very difficult to keep your feet down when you are sliding on your arse but he doesn’t significantly catch him, not to the extent the Feyenoord player is making out, yellow at the most in my opinion. We can get a win at CP HH

Who are all these mythical players we are missing? Other than CCV? That was close to our strongest team. Which now includes Forrest and mikey Johnston on the bench.
No Complaints. Players gave everything. Down to 9 in the 2nd half and showed stacks of courage and determination. Frustrating given our financial position we didn't bite the bullet and get 3-4 seasoned straight in 1st team players. We need them at this level or we are destined to be minor players.. --> I don't see where goals will come from. Even domestically, Celtic are failing to put away chances.

Nobody can tell me that the board’s ambition lies beyond beating a poor Rangers team to a domestic title that we should win anyway. The quality in the winger positions is non existent.
Off course it is, because Celtic fans celebrate league cups like it's something special. It's tin pot cups , domestic cups mean nothing all over the world. Yet we have parades. As long as we are happy with Glasgow bragging rights the board will continue to fund that .

I know it’s easier said than done to attract players to our league- but they way things are just now- we have a real chance to beat the “the rangers” record of zero points! Couldn’t agree more mate . Maeda is not good enough and neither is Abada yang and palma look so raw and totally inexperienced in Europe still no Tilio. And yet even he is inexperienced at this level. We knew what was required when getting papped out last year. We had two transfer windows to bring in strength & height to compliment the team. Yet what do we do? We weaken the team & don't bring in the needed physicality to compete at this level. Having said that. The ref played his part in our loss. No pen for Maeda or Palma but he gave them a pen for something defenders do 10x a game. He was conned by a cheat who suddenly bounced back up when the ref pointed to the spot. Holm's red is more acceptable. It was a stupid tackle he was out of control. Still a yellow wouldn't have been out of place.
So frustrating to not have a team capable of turning over what was an unimpressive Feyenord. What's the point in qualifying if the riches gained stays in the bank?

It seems like you guys are content just to be better than Rangers every season in a domestic sense (or at least at board level, not saying from the fans). You knew you were getting in to the Champions League group stages, yet sold your best player and replaced him with inferior players. No marquee, push the boat out signing for this campaign either.
Celtic are very successful domestically speaking, but your European record in the past ten years has been shocking. It's not about lessons, it's about going to an inexperienced Feyenoord side and getting a positive result, which you failed to do.
I think palma showed potential for me. He kept cutting on his right which was too obvious for defender but there’s something there
You can’t expect to do well in the Champions League with prospects. I know buying and selling prospects is what gets us money, and it works, but we need to think about Celtic as a FOOTBALL club with ambitions to compete at the highest level, not just a business.

Loads of injuries in the same area combined with poor recruitment in other areas made this result inevitable. Too many project signings who are not CL level. This is all on BR and the board and still can't believe we didn't at the very least buy a decent striker in the window.
the main undoing of us this season in europe will be hart. astonishing to me the blind spot so many seem to have for him. we cannot qualify from this group and it is because of our keeper. nothing much more to be said, sadly.

A team follows managers' instruction, so playing out so slow at the back is a tactic. The mistakes at set piece must be down to set up of the wall. I hope they do defensive drills in training. So start again and hope!

I haven’t seen the game but I can imagine how it went. Just a thought, how can a team like Union Berlin go away to Real and lose by an injury time goal? So many times we see it, teams we like to consider smaller than ourselves doing better than us. So frustrating.

as it stands we're dropping down to 15th in the coefficient table and going back to 4 qualifiers, we'll never make it through them again. we fall one more place in the table and its back to 1 cl spot so winning the league becomes even more important to ensure the buns never get that opportunity.
meanwhile the dutch have overtaken france for 5th spot thanks to the conference league and so will have 4 auto cl spaces for twente or alkmaar to enjoy, these team are no bigger than hearts/hibs/aberdeen but they do much better in europe than them as does braga for portugal.
you need more than one team to prop up a league unless your salzburg who get heavy investment.

In Holland we think Feyenoord did not play well at all marking that even an out of form Feyenoord can beat Celtic without many problems.

Respect for Celtic, but we as Feyenoord supporters were very disappointed in the game. The first half was not the Feyenoord we are used to. Maybe the nerves, but Feyenoord can do a lot better.

We posted great numbers this season but remember that last season we has a profit of £6.1m on a prize pot for the league of I think about £3.5m (I think you add the TV revenue for a 38 game season it's somewhere in the £8m bracket with the TV and prize cash), with overheads of £91.7m and the expectation is to be squad valuation 27/32 out of the 32 UCL competitors (Braga, one up, is close then it's a 54.4m euros leap all the way up to Man City at 1.24bn euros to our 125.15m euros) and somehow finish high enough to be in Europe after Xmas or we are rubbish? People keep talking about pushing out that boat but one 15m player wipes out last year's profit twice, and then some.
Remember, Feyenoord were pot 1 to our pot 4, and they scored like 17 goals in 3 games, they pumped the PSV that pumped Sevco 2012 out the qualifiers. It's a good side and if we'd kept 11 on the field I'm pretty certain we'd have been disappointed had all we got had gotten was a draw never mind the 2-0 defeat with 11 v 9.
Defying all odds, in our circumstances, - being outspent by 82.08m (43.07m shy or 2 to 1) in a TV revenue market where we are massively undervalued, injury crisis meaning 5/7 centre backs are unavailable, late signings not having time to bed in, adapting to a new philosophy, 2 reds, inexperience - reasons not rationalisations, not the sneered *'excuses'*, that defeat was a great performance.
Unlike... some teams we need to cut our cloth, as our financial improprieties wouldn't go uncommented on by the media for decades, and I think you add CCV and Nawrocki or a match fit Phillips we look better at the back and we maybe don't lose the defender.
Later when we bed in and polish the rough cut diamonds of Holm and Bernardo maybe the midfielder isn't sent off.
Hatate isn't just back from a layoff maybe he makes that pass to put in Kyogo AND he lasts 90 mins.
Maybe Kyogo doesn't reflexively pull his injured shoulder out the way at the freekick goal if we had a 3rd first XI striker who could allow him to heal or get surgery.
Then when we get to see Tilio and if he is good enough, when Abada comes back, when Palma settles, when Yang gets his groove...
I think the lesson is, if we have to wait til the end of the window to snatch deals, take a page from the Ange book and do it in January so we bed them in for the start of the UCL.
I'd like a striker, a left-back and a goalkeeper (Hart had a slow start but the last couple of games I think he has been great) and if Tomoki and Kwon aren't it, a powerful defensive midfielder in the mould of Wanyama if that is even possible in our price range. HH

After going down to 10 then 9 players at this level you’re never getting anything from the game if the opponents are still at 11, wouldn’t call it luck that we didn’t lose by 6 or 7, that’s down to Feyenoord more than anything. At this level the players we had left on the park done ok to actually keep it to 2.
If lawell came out and said we are keeping money back for the court case because we are liable i would have cut him some slack ,but to say nothing and mug us off with this crap investment in the summer ,is pissing me off .

You are overrating a team that lost. Feyenoord were the better team. Scales passed responsibility for forward movement back to his goalkeeper when faced with an opponent. Time without number he did not pass forward or take on his man. He was scared to lose the ball in a vulnerable position. We were not reduced to nine men for no REASON. NO! We deserved what we got defending with desperation. We were muscled off the ball too often and what was the smallest lightest man on the field, a rapier center forward, doing as the central pivot of the defensive wall? Crazy! Bernard Rodgers, you have disinherited a team invested in by another. Celtic TV tell it as it is or cease relevance.
