He wants to keep the confusion and secrecy. He could have said that simply to make the other party feel more comfortable or relatable, which is to some extent what it sounded like to me because of the way he approached the topic.
Speaking of video game rushes and moments of satisfaction, I just have to give a shout out to KSP. I know the yogs (and I assume their audience) already know about it. But god damn it's so good, I still want to give it a shout. What's so fun is that it starts with lots of little milestones. So you hit the speed of sound, you escape the atmosphere, you make orbit, all rather quickly. Then from there all subsequent accomplishments get harder and harder, needing more and more work. It's a devious system, because it hooks you in early, then keeps you wanting more. But the satisfaction you get from pulling off one of those really tough missions... like sending a kerbal to Mars and back. Oh it's fun. And it can take hours to really pull it off, depending on how much you were trying to do with that mission.
Agreed Pyrion, Catan is great, especially with the Seafarers expansion! If you and your friends have a lot of free time, Cities & Knights is also a lot of fun too, but it is a heck of a lot more complicated and takes a lot longer.
Probably an unpopular opinion, but I thought the XCOM reboots were just ok; not great and certainly not amazing. The improved graphics and QoL features are nice, but the lack of strategic and tactical depth really killed it for me. The original X-COM and TftD are better in almost every way. Phoenix Point is looking to be fantastic, though. Original X-COM mechanics with reboot graphics and QoL features is the perfect blend.
8:00 ish... The future of gaming will be "polling", real time input from 3rd party. People already do it on twitch ("what should we do chat?") The appeal of die or using dice is that it is a chance mechanic, limited though but games don't need much to be fun.
@@krablord there wont be single player games Even now there are leaderboards ect. Everyone knows the ancient egyptians invented card games. Theres a really good documentary on Netflix about it called Yugioh.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. U got me
Hahahaha brilliant
Loooolz
Nah man, the aliens gifted cards to Egypt
Just started at university. It's so nice to just come home and listen to these sweet words of wisdom from my two dads and my Lebanese stepbrother.
I've just started my second year, doing exactly the same as you friend, much love
@@henrylong00 Best of luck to you, friend.

3:04. Mate you literally cofounded the Yogscast
Guys did I just hear that Lewis has a girlfriend?
You heard Lewis lie about having a girlfriend because he was embarrassed.
@@aceclark101 Thought I was teleported to a new universe for a minute

He was also talking about a past experience. It could've been quite a while back
Very glad the summer break was just that, terrified when new episodes never came hahah.. im at peace now.
Thank fuck for that. I was starting to get SoI/Yogpod flashbacks...
Was this Lewis' very meta way of telling us he has a girlfriend now?

"They had dragons back then." Fucks sake Lewis. LOL

It's so strange HOW MUCH Sips' triangle looks like him.
Ahh Laser Squad. Decent 2-player game. The Robots attacking the moonbase was a great one.

Just like Grandma always said: you think somebody is great? Just imagine them taking a shit.
Instant relief when I see a new episode
Thank you for making another podcast. As always, I found it very relaxing and enjoyable
on the topic of weird nobility stuff: there was a solid gold toilet on the childhood palace of winston churchill and someone stole it
so someone still has it ?
so short, gimme a 2 hour shitfest already
Lewis' TIP reviews are leaking into his social interaction reviews, "bit of a weird one"
8/10 couldve used a bit more story
I've been recommended this video like, 10 times. I'm very happy to see youtube giving some love to these wonderful losers
Pyramids are actually escape rooms.
Does anyone have a link to the DaleK clip?
3:00 "I'm waiting for mine", like making lots of money by playing videogames? I'd say that's quite a good idea lol
making a whole company based on playing games sounds pretty original to me
@@IrelandDoesGaming Eh, videogame companies have been around for a long time. Someone has to play test from the beginning
“Farted in a pipe and took turns sniffin’ it.”
Dunno why but that killed me.
Lewis and Pyrion's triangles look so blank and emotionless when they're not talking, and Sips' looks so happy all the time.
Triforce... more insightful than the Joe Rogan Podcast...
Maybe?
threemoo definetly.
I’m a soldier, I’ve spent many hours playing rummy

How much crack was Lewis on this episode
How do i buy the fucking Bodega book???? i've been trying since it was released!
That's very wasteful of other ppl's time Lewis; just tell them no if you engaged with them once.

I hate the unwritten rules of social interaction. They're so hard to understand and follow.
Not to mention that everyone dosn't always have the same rules xD
The word scrabble has lost all meaning thanks to this episode
bring back games night!!
I feel half of Lewis’ responses are pure rambling and only very loosely relate/are about the point the other two are making
