Different things about Snick: He keeps mach 4 while changing directions instead of reducing to mach 3 As I saw in a playable Snick video, Snick can generate mach 4 by running still (same as Sonic CD) Super Snick (-it's him-) while super jumping
Cool! I always wanted a pt mod that has you do lap two but every time you enter the exit door you get sent to the start of another maps random lap two. An infinite lap mod that has you go through all maps randomly. This is pretty close!
The fact that Snick has Instant (mostly) Mach 4 means that he's technically the fastest accelerating character, heck I dare say Snick can go up to Mach 5 or Mach 6

how come snick actually gets to turn around isn't he suppose to just, stop and then peelout? i kinda like that better than having a turn cus it's not like, annoying to play with or anything, just somethin unique for the funny porcupine
also he doesn't lose all his rings when getting hit which, mm, i see why it's gone, but idk loses some of what made playable snick playable snick. if it was an option that'd be nice, i guess same for vigilante hp but that doesn't matter as much cus vigi's already unique as it is due to not having a grab
Peelout is literally the most annoying thing about Snick. I mean you could never hold your combo or escape Pizzaface or do any other fun stuff when you get completely stopped once every few SECONDS. Peelout and the lack of turning just don't work for the final game. So they're replaced with a turn that lets KEEP your speed, and same with the superjump cancel dash. Those are incredibly fun and they let you maintain your speed CONSTANTLY. That alone makes Snick unique despite his core moveset being just like Peppino's. Honestly Peppino's moveset is what every character should be based on. You simply cannot do it any better, it's perfection and build to flow perfectly with the current level design.
@@ytskay i guess i can't really argue with that because i haven't played as snick with peelout in the final build so i wouldn't know but idk man i feel like, hell just making it charge faster would fix most of the issues you're talking about. keeping combo especially, given how slow the combo meter goes i don't think it'd be that hard
These kinds of reasons are why many playable characters ended up unfortunately getting cut in the end. These levels are specifically designed with Peppino's (and Gustavo and Brick for only 2 levels) moveset in mind, and with the others as they are before, although it could still be possible, wouldn't feel as fun or would be annoying to go through.

There’s no speed cap, so almost any character can do that.(I think)

Being unique doesn't mean it's good, besides i believe cmd is making sage snick unlockable for doing all snick challenges
