2:10 control your DPS to make sure to kill the wolf's first form on the stairs instead of too close to Spot and Mlynar. Otherwise, the wolf will kill Spot and Mlynar. So you might retreat Surtr earlier if your Surtr and Mlylar is stronger than mine lvl40 M3 and lvl 50 M3.
In my successful run I didnt quiet get that timing right and my Spot got killed. But I used the last slot to bring Gravel and just blocked the incoming car with her. Mlynar can deal with that no problem and Spot is avaliable for later.
For people using LVL 90 Surtr and Mlynar like me, during wolf's first phase you Surtr it, THEN After Surtr dies wait a bit and make sure that the wolf is in the center of the tile and when he starts moving to the left BY AN INCH, then you use Mlynar's skill. If he still has HP to spare, you can bring Gravel as the last slot and stall him if Noir Corne dies too fast before Utage or Mlynar schwings him to death.
You can also use Gravel to stall the wolf during his 2nd phase while you wait for Surtr to come back.
I mainly follow Kyo guides, but he has just one issue - it’s either total AFK 6 star squads (which I don’t have) or hyper low-end with one 6star support (which can be insanely difficult to pull off sometimes). This guide was a perfect middle ground for this stage since I have S3 Surtr and was much easier to follow, execute, and swap in my own units like Lappland instead of Mousse and bringing in Texas the Omen Toaster without capping the deployment limit. Thanks a bunch for this more middle-ground guide! I’ll be looking at you guides for solutions like this more often!

the amount of sanity i lost because i killed the first phase 1mm too far away is making me lose my actual sanity
For me, it's the other way around. 1mm too close and he shredded both Cardigan and Mlynar, sabotaging the rest of the run.

Thank you Doctor, a guide I was able to follow correctly. Took a few trys on normal of when to pull back my Lvl 90 M3 Surtr so he doesn't kill spot and I took Bagpipe for talent and the last cleaner. I cleared the challenge stage in one go. Thank you.

there are few strat that really good so far, i only have mylnar and other 6* op but i dont think they will contribute that greatly. this video very helpful for me and will try it after my insanity is enough to play.
mlynar or surtr lvl 90 takes more good timing with the second form of the boss, recommend bring texalter in case laks one enemy while spot alive.

lol, i got other problem, somehow the mob leak after i change mouse into surtr. gotta bring Ash to nuke them down

Nvm, S3 has better crowd control so I recommend using this skill over S2. S2 if you need fast DPS, best pair with Surtr but the boss will enter 2nd phase faster! So be careful
