I'm thankful for the teaching, and explanation of the word of God. I have been in churches of different denominations but never heard preaching on the new man. Although I read the bible I did not have good understanding of of what Christ did for us. I always felt guilty because I didn't fully obey God. Sometimes I felt what's the use. I just cant obey. But thanks to this godly man I'm finally understanding what Christ did and that I was crucified with Christ and my old self is dead. Hallelujah praise the Lord.

Timka Timon Hi Timka, Hope your ok with me chiming in on your question...I think the "old man" Prince speaks of, according to God's instruction, can back slide in the temptations of this world. Because of our human nature, we are continually challenged by the darkness and can easily divert into the "old man" ways. Temptations remain but the "new man" has accepted God to exist within, therefore, with God's strength the "new man" has more power to resist temptations...hope this helps...God Bless♡
Indeed, the old man is already put to death just as Jesus is already crucified. We need not sacrifice again in atonement for sin but lay each sin upon the cross and receive Jesus' savation through our faith in Him. Likewise, our old, unrighteous, selves ought to have been "put to death" so that we may live in the new life with Jesus's righteousness, walking His ways, and keeping His commandments: it is not through our selves that we are made righteous but it is Christ who is righteous and by His grace He shares this with us so that we may live in love, and if we love then in joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, and self-control - and whoever loves Him, the Lord our God, keeps his commandments. We do not worry over works but live in grace and love wherein God's perfect love and grace supplement our inferiority so that with His help we may do the impossible. This sermon is ? I'm at a loss for words. Only through years of refining in the fires of adversity and gut wrenching long-suffering. People there isn't a magic door that you pray to be renewed inside and of your mind and simply walk through it. I pray your renewing be of a shorter time than mine. This sermon lays out the steps the best I've ever heard. The sacrificial alter has earned it's name, it is the only doorway. I am an overcomer spoken of in the book of Revelations. Thank you Jesus for your faithfulness.

I don't understand how to have this personal experience. I feel my faith is sincere but I'm not changed, I still struggle with habitual sins and don't really feel the presence of God as such. Maybe I'm spirituality barren. 😔
You need to keep listening to this series until you get the understanding. You have to totally surrender your heart, examine yourself and question yourself and see if you are not surrendering some part of your character or life. You must give everything to Him, so that He can transform you in the truth, in gentleness and loving kindness. You will get the understanding and be filled with joy and such peace! I understand the "what" and the "why," but HOW do we execute the "old man"--it cannot be just a matter of will power or positive thinking or changing our thoughts....
Search 'divine power', and 'divine nature'.. Dying to self and then being born again, filled with the Spirit of Jesus, we become new and walk in the power of Jesus. He lives in us by His word, love and Spirit. Scripture says we have this power in earthen vessels, our bodies, that the power may be of Christ and not of us. Most Christians have not been born again as Jesus commands(John 3:1-8), so they lack the divine power. Ask and you will receive if you believe by faith.

However, I don't know ANYONE who has overcome sin and I'm with many Christians every week of my life--they each have an ongoing issue. And never stop asking until you receive. The Lord told me to 'rest' and that was the time I received His Spirit and learned difference between walking after Spirit verses walking after my flesh But it is a daily decision to deny self, crucify deeds of flesh, be single minded. Now the next step I's Jesus command to be perfect. Perfect in speech, perfect in love and perfect in deed. He started the work and He will perfect what's lacking concerning us. Set your mind to be single and do not allow anything in past your mind into your heart. For then sin will conceive and when sin is brought forth then death. I was a double minded believer for years. God had mercy to correct me before I would have died and been lost forever. All glory, power and might is of the Lord. Have faith and believe on Him with all your heart, mind soul and the strength He gives you. Not perfect yet and temptations always happen. Jesus was tempted and without sin. He said His followers would die same works He did and greater works. Believing His promise He present me blameless on day of judgment. Keep believing on Jesus!

My friend, it’s definitely not by will power. You do not execute the Old man. God has already done that for all those who are in Christ. That is why the Bible emphasizes KNOWING and RECKONING. You must see this in order to live in the Spirit of God. The next question is of course why do we still sin if we have been crucified. It is because we cannot access the grace of God unless we believe. Everything is by faith and revelation. Revelation of our crucifixion preceded the coming about of the crucified life. In Christianity you do not make progress by action. Your actions are only reflections of what you have believed. A Christian will be subject to sin just the same as an unbeliever if he is without this revelation. Might I recommend ‘The normal Christian Life’ and ‘ The Spiritual Man’ by Watchman Nee. These books dissect all these ideas so well it’s impossible not to have revelation. Good Luck!

For Christ to be anyone's LIFE one must be born of God. Just declaring it doesn't make it so. No one comes to Him unless he or she is drawn by Him.

I understand the "what" and the "why," but HOW do we execute the "old man"--it cannot be just a matter of will power or positive thinking or changing our thoughts....
Search 'divine power', and 'divine nature'..
Dying to self and then being born again, filled with the Spirit of Jesus, we become new and walk in the power of Jesus. He lives in us by His word, love and Spirit.
Scripture says we have this power in earthen vessels, our bodies, that the power may be of Christ and not of us.
Most Christians have not been born again as Jesus commands(John 3:1-8), so they lack the divine power.
Ask and you will receive if you believe by faith.
@@jonathanisrael9714 I will take your advice--I have already done what you have talked about and try to surrender every morning and have been for many years. However, I don't know ANYONE who has overcome sin and I'm with many Christians every week of my life--they each have an ongoing issue. I guess I just don't see this "power" active and alive within my own circle of sisters & brothers in the church, but surely wish I could....I long to see this active faith!

The Lord told me to 'rest' and that was the time I received His Spirit and learned difference between walking after Spirit verses walking after my flesh
But it is a daily decision to deny self, crucify deeds of flesh, be single minded.
Now the next step I's Jesus command to be perfect.
Perfect in speech, perfect in love and perfect in deed.
He started the work and He will perfect what's lacking concerning us.
Set your mind to be single and do not allow anything in past your mind into your heart. For then sin will conceive and when sin is brought forth then death.
I was a double minded believer for years. God had mercy to correct me before I would have died and been lost forever.
All glory, power and might is of the Lord.
Have faith and believe on Him with all your heart, mind soul and the strength He gives you.
Not perfect yet and temptations always happen. Jesus was tempted and without sin. He said His followers would die same works He did and greater works. Believing His promise He present me blameless on day of judgment.
Keep believing on Jesus!

I'm just going to ask and never stop asking from now on....begging, if I have to! I just cried out to God this morning over this! I just want to serve and be "free"
My friend, it’s definitely not by will power. You do not execute the Old man. God has already done that for all those who are in Christ. That is why the Bible emphasizes KNOWING and RECKONING. You must see this in order to live in the Spirit of God. The next question is of course why do we still sin if we have been crucified. It is because we cannot access the grace of God unless we believe. Everything is by faith and revelation. Revelation of our crucifixion preceded the coming about of the crucified life. In Christianity you do not make progress by action. Your actions are only reflections of what you have believed. A Christian will be subject to sin just the same as an unbeliever if he is without this revelation. Might I recommend ‘The normal Christian Life’ and ‘ The Spiritual Man’ by Watchman Nee. These books dissect all these ideas so well it’s impossible not to have revelation. Good Luck!
