THANK-YOU so much Sir, your videos are really helpful, the videos are short and informative and I would really like to thankyou for the every minute details that you have given.
Hello Sir, Can you please text here what you said from 6:38 to 6:45 kindly...I mean about the close dates and end dates population on Renewal opportunity and Renewal quote. Much appreciated for the reply. I have been watching your videos.
Renewal Opportunity close date = Contract's end date Renewal quote start date = renewal opportunity close date + 1 Assume you have contract from 01/01/2020 through 12/31/2020 (12 Month Term) Then 1. renewal opportunity with a close date of 12/31/2020 2. renewal quote start date of 01/01/2021 3. renewal quote end date of 12/31/2021 (Renewal term is 12 so) I hope this will clear your doubts.
Renewing contract from contract record and from account record has slight functional difference. Through contract records it is straight forward renewal where as on account's contract related list you will get an option to choose the master contract, just in case if business wants to keep renewed stuff under single contract. You can do this through contract record also using master contract checkbox field. Now answer for your question is 'No', If you contract has already marked/existing with renewal opportunity/Quote then it will not perform any action through account's renewal.
@@SalesforceCPQ Thank you! I am just confused because I wasn't able to do it on my project's org. I am getting an error that says "The contract chosen as Master is already coterminated. Remove cotermination from the master contract or choose a different master contract that hasn't been coterminated and try again. " when I coterm contracts with existing Renewal Opp. But I was able to do it in my personal dev org without any errors. Do you know what's happening?
Thank you
very nice video and i think the explanation of the important fields is really nice!

Renewal Opportunity close date = Contract's end date
Renewal quote start date = renewal opportunity close date + 1
Assume you have contract from 01/01/2020 through 12/31/2020 (12 Month Term)
Then
1. renewal opportunity with a close date of 12/31/2020
2. renewal quote start date of 01/01/2021
3. renewal quote end date of 12/31/2021 (Renewal term is 12 so)
I hope this will clear your doubts.
Can we renew contract from Account even when those contracts already has an existing renewal Opp and renewal Quote?

@@erickcarlebower9098 avoid this, do coterm first and then renewal. Your renewal forecast could be go wrong.
