Explosion hunter is overall better, altough I think it's about which suits you better. Ex hunter has atacks that pack more power, and MKII is a low cooldown but smaller range attacks.
No Self Heal, so Lifesteal is a must (rip Agility 3). Very Flashy ODM but useless at long runs. SO YEAH EXPLOSION is BETTER overall
But explosion also has no cure, and all coldowns are greater.

not too sure, you could try switching to weekly quests mabye
