I think that water in your pond is from the pond next to it. It is water seeping through the soil since it is permeable in nature.

'Bout the water from stream, I think it is best to test it before using this water as your source of water for your ponds.n bout your wooden tank/pond, I think it's better not to dismantle it at this moment.. It still be useful as for quarantine and conditioning area.
