Yeah I was so confused at first as to why he followed me because I use to watch his show all the time in high school haha but now I think maybe it’s because Tom follows me 🤣
The poster is such a cool addition to the book! Would definitely love to have a copy. Mister Miracle was actually the first TPB I bought. (The shirt is amazing btw)
I really need to read this one, I have the deluxe and digital so I have no real excuse. That Absolute edition is very tempting, I love when they take the time to really make them stand out.
Great video! It's awesome how passionate you are about this book. And scoring an interview with Tom King? That's so cool. Can I shamelessly request you inquire about his Batman run becoming an Omni?
Here’s how I have it worded “Your Batman run was the first time I ever followed a comic week-to-week, buying every single issue as it came out. It’s incredibly nostalgic for me as my first ongoing Batman experience in real time rather than through collected editions. I know the run was polarizing for some readers, but how does it feel to know that in the 2024 poll for ‘Most Wanted DC Collected Editions,’ your Batman run was the number one pick And speaking of collected editions, any news on the horizon?”
I know! It’s super cool! The artist Mitch designed it himself. It works on one layer as a cage he’s trapped in, and on another level as another 9 panel grid! Insane!
Finally was able to watch the entire video! This is an amazing absolute! I can't belive how big it is! I don't own any absolutes but this one might be the first!! Looking forward to the tom king interview!!! "Remember you can always ESCAPE!!! - Scott Free""
@TBATB I've read a few tom king books now and it's probably the only one I hold in high regards. Strange adventures was good but it's very similar to mister miracle in many ways.
My son has been going on and on about Mr Miracle and his story for the past couple of weeks. Every conversation is Mr Miracle this, High Father that.. now I feel like I can have a conversation with him. Thank U. Anywho his birthday is April 1st hint hint hint
One of the most beautifully designed books DC has ever put out. Absolute Swamp Thing is still in the lead though haha. Amazing story. Can't wait to get my copy.
Hey Jake; thank you so much for this video; i ordered the absolute last night from OPB; i have absolutes 4th world by Jack Kirby both volumes; i have not read them though; i was hoping if you could recommend me essential reads before this absolute Mister miracle; thank you again for being one of the best persons in the comic community
So Mister Miracle is completely a standalone story and you don’t need to read anything specifically! That being said reading some of the classic Mister Miracle issues gives you historical context. Your 2 absolutes of Fourth World cover 4 separate concurrently running series that worked together to tell the overarching story. You don’t have to read all 1600 pages but skip around and read a few of the Mister Miracle ones at least. On top of that it helps to understand some history of Jack Kirby, and his feelings towards Stan Lee. Again none of this is essential! You can jump into Mister Miracle RN and love it, but I think 2-3 issues of classic MM and googling Jack Kirby’s feelings on Stan Lee will help you understand some of the inside jokes and references!
@ Thanks Jake ; there a couple of forth world omnibus : one by John Byrne and another by Gerry conway; looking at their blurbs on amazon it seems they are after Kirbys take on forth world; do you have any thoughts on them in terms of relevant reading for this absolute
I wouldn’t say any of those are particularly relevant. I never bothered to pick any of them up. Again this story is completely standalone and you don’t need to read any thing. Think of it like taking place in its own reality.
This book helped me a lot when I received my son. I was scared about him and how I would raise him; I didn't want to mess him up. And man, this book came out of the blue for me and taught me so many things about life and how to deal with myself, my wife, my son, and all the things I've tried to run away from. Spectacular edition!
I know King can be devsive but I have loved everything I read from him, including this story. I've been hesitant to dip my toes into the absolute world, preferring deluxe editions, but this might change my mind.
hey have you been picking up the new gods issues that's been coming out recently its only two issue but its AMAZING so far! it sort of like a spiritual sequel of tom kings run. (continuity is weird)
Ehh hard disagree. He has some terrible projects like heros in crisis and his batman run but mister miracle, vision, up in the sky all showcase his writing ability.
Peace and love friend! I think it is awesome to have different opinions on comics and being able to share our thoughts and respectfully disagree and debate makes this hobby even better. To share my feeling, I can understand the ending being polarizing. If we take the writing out of the equation and just look at the art, can we agree that it is undeniably amazing? I mean think, each panel is its own separate drawing, that stands both on its own but also together. Think of how hard it is to do even one good drawing. In this book there are 2,370 panels. Thousands of drawings that are all breathtaking. Then you add in the letter, the editors, the people who physically designed the book. So many people poured their heart and soul into this book, and I feel like it’s not completely fair to call it complete garbage because of just the writing. That being said while I personally disagree, I respect your opinion! I hope to hear your opinions on future books and that we can continue to discuss opinions ether shared or opposing with respect!
12:15 I MEANT TO STAND IN FOR STAN LEE
Unbelievably gorgeous looking! Love how generous the extras portion appears to be!
Excellent coverage as always my friend! 💪👏
Thanks, man! I love it too. Those extras are wild! Can’t wait to hear what you think of the story!
Great-looking book -- love the slipcase. Thanks for the in-depth breakdown of the extras section too -- lots of very cool stuff there.
Super cool book right? It was hands down my most anticipated book release of the year!
That might be the coolest slipcase ive seen on an Absolute edition
It works in so many levels. Mitch went off on his design!
That Absolute looks amazing. I need to get into Absolutes and Omnibus collecting!
Buying this book on Kindle to read tonight!
If you are interested in Absolutes and Omnis we might be a perfect channel for you! Feel free to ask any questions!
This absolute looks phenomenal and definitely tuning into that interview!!! New subscriber earned !
Welcome aboard! We have a discord if you’re ever looking for a comic book community! I hope you enjoy the channel!

Thanks so much! I really loved this story.
Yeah the design of the absolute it’s crazy!
Haha good word!
Hey just a question are you coming to the comic con in finland this year?
Haha I wish! I’m not even going to LA Comic Con. I’m trying to go to Wondercon and Heroes Con in the North Carolina.
I love Scott from Comedy Bang Bang! Had no idea he was in the book lol 😂 that’s amazing!
Yeah I was so confused at first as to why he followed me because I use to watch his show all the time in high school haha but now I think maybe it’s because Tom follows me 🤣

Haha vote for it for book club 🤣
This is the 1st book I read that brought me back into comics as an adult. My favorite TPB I own to this day.
That’s amazing!
Let's gooo. If I can manage it i will definetly check out the Interview 🤘🏻🔥 Cant wait to have my copy 🥰
I know time zones make it weird!
Great video! It's awesome how passionate you are about this book. And scoring an interview with Tom King? That's so cool. Can I shamelessly request you inquire about his Batman run becoming an Omni?

@TBATB that's perfect! Much more diplomatic than I'd be. Looking forward to seeing this interview though.
I had no idea the slipcase had 9 windows; I thought it was printed on! That’s awesome!!
I know! It’s super cool! The artist Mitch designed it himself. It works on one layer as a cage he’s trapped in, and on another level as another 9 panel grid! Insane!

It is definitely the best Absolute I own! Don't hesitate to pick it up! Getting to interview Tom is going to be a dream come true!
Is the forward included in the Deluxe edition? Or only in the Absolute
I’ll check! I don’t think so! I have to ask Jordan because he took home the deluxe edition.
So excited about this book! Hopefully I can be lucky enough to get one of those giveaways, excited for your interview!
It’s going to be a dream come true!
This is one of my must buys of the year. Can't wait to grab a copy
It’s so rad!
@TBATB I've read a few tom king books now and it's probably the only one I hold in high regards. Strange adventures was good but it's very similar to mister miracle in many ways.
This is one of my most favourite comics ever!
Me too!
My son has been going on and on about Mr Miracle and his story for the past couple of weeks. Every conversation is Mr Miracle this, High Father that..
now I feel like I can have a conversation with him. Thank U.
Anywho his birthday is April 1st hint hint hint
Love this book
I do too!
One of the most beautifully designed books DC has ever put out. Absolute Swamp Thing is still in the lead though haha.
Amazing story. Can't wait to get my copy.
I love the swamp things absolutes too, but this deff has the coolest slipcase!
Very nice review. Cool looking book too.
Thank you for the kind words! This book is gorgeous!
The fist absolute I want! Its beautiful
It’s seriously so beautiful!

I love Tom King, and I can't wait to see that interview! I'm losing my mind at the re-release of Absolute Batman: Hush later this year.
That is amazing! I think the hush absolute + Dini omnibus > hush omnibus
This book helped me a lot when I received my son. I was scared about him and how I would raise him; I didn't want to mess him up. And man, this book came out of the blue for me and taught me so many things about life and how to deal with myself, my wife, my son, and all the things I've tried to run away from. He is my favorite writer and this absolute might be new favorite!
I have the deluxe edition of this comic, and I gotta tell u, I definitely gotta buy this one
This story is worth buying in a 100 different formats!
One of the most beautiful books ever!
I agree! It’s gorgeous!
hey have you been picking up the new gods issues that's been coming out recently its only two issue but its AMAZING so far! it sort of like a spiritual sequel of tom kings run. (continuity is weird)
I have heard nothing but amazing things! Sadly I only buy single issues to prep for creator interviews so I’m waiting for it to pop up on DC Ultra.
I had no interest in this character but that Absolute has changed my mind
Hard to beat Flashpoint for me.😊
I wonder who picked a book that won against mister miracle
At least it was beat by another Tom King book!
This booked helped me thru breakups and fostering personal liberation
I know the feeling! It has been there for me through some of the worst, and best times of my life.
Don't like the book's spine. The slipcase is awesome. 👌
Best slipcase ever!
Tom King MM starts off well enough and just a little after the halfway point it turns to complete garbage.
Ehh hard disagree. He has some terrible projects like heros in crisis and his batman run but mister miracle, vision, up in the sky all showcase his writing ability.

Looks great. I like my B&N exclusive edition but would love to have one of these. Great book
That’s awesome! Some of the B&N books look beautiful!
Bro do you have a page on insta? I would like to follow you guys there as well
