Yes! Love these stories. When we were there, we did the Mary Kings Close tour - pretty cool. I loved Greyfriars Kirkyard. It was so peaceful and beautiful. I took so many pictures. Isn’t there a story about that cemetery? 😊 GREAT content!! Keep it coming! There’s SO many cool stories of Edinburgh. We’re dying to get back. Thanks Tony! xx
I have just watched you doing your tour,I am a scot who now lives in England, and your tours are just the fix i need!!!! I was going to make my annual trip, but lockdown happened, sooo miss being in the most beautiful City in UK. Your street,by street information ,is the best ever!!! ,so just to ssy, a very big thank you to you!! Keep doing them .!! All the best to you and yours.June Cargen.
This was so great! Thank you Tony and thank you to whoever suggested it. The backdrop was so spot on!! Would love more of these while in lockdown and Edinburgh and Scotland itself has no shortage of fascinating and eerie tales.
Cracking tales of the macabre, Tony. Have you any more? Sad you cannae get out for a wee wonder of Edinburgh. You and your good lady stay Safe over there, ...hopefully this will all end soon. Slàinte🏴
My dog began to howl mournfully when I played this eerie video! And it had absolutely nothing to do with a passing firetrucks's siren. It was the spirit-world trying to contact me!
Tony, well.done!! You have such a knack for storytelling. I came very close to burning breakfast, I was so engrossed in your eerie storytelling! Thank.you.ever so.much. Hope.you, Kirsten, and the lads are well!
Hi Tony... Excellent video, your delivery was excellent Three creepy stories adding to the attraction of what makes Edinburgh one of the best places to visit. Thank you, I hope you and Kirsten are well.
Loved it!! I think we are all so used to your easy going and funny videos that no one expected this amazing dark storytelling! I think you have a side business in this! Thanks for the video! If you do another one I suggest the pipper who disappeared in the tunnel under the royal mile
You should put out an audiobook, on all the eerie stories of Edinburgh! It would sell, BIG! You have such a good voice, lovely Scottish diction, but not overly much to create misunderstandings 😉🤣 Thank you! 💙
Well done, Tony! Stormy night. Seated by a crackling fire. Rain pelts against the window. Dog lays at your feet, vigilant at the slightest sound or movement in the shadows. You slowly savour a dram of single malt. And tell ghost stories. That's when fireside tales of Auld Reekie possess their full powers to make our eyes wide as saucers, and the small hairs stand on the nape of the neck. Long ago, Burns rendered sage advice to us all with his line, "Remember Tam o' Shanter's mare!"
Hello from Ontario Canada I was born in kirckaldy fife. Just came across your channel who knows how these things work anyway subscribed immediately as soon as I saw deep fried mars bar omg lol loved this vid right up my alley thanx for your time and shall see you soon for more take care 🐝🏴
Just discovered this channel today loving it already all the way over here in Glasgow I’m thinking maybe I’ll subscribe wee bit of support from your fellow Scotsman or in my case woman 👩 lol ❤️
You could read the label on a bottle of ketchup and make it scary ....love the border terrier, I can just see his/ her eyebrows going up and down....Great job, if you’re not an actor.....you’re wasted, you’re excellent.
That was great story telling Mr. Broonford. I can see why you were on stage. I would only suggest to turn down music just a touch. Sometimes it was louder than you. I love these stories and next year when I am in Scotland, there will most definitely be a coin in my pocket when I venture to the Royal Mile.
We really love your work in this house and living in East Lothian, just outside Edinburgh for those not familiar, I still find much to learn from every posting. Apologies for being off-topic and if anyone else has asked but how did you seamlessly transfer your kitchen wall into an animated moonscape? Thank you in advance to any who reply (even just software name). Thanks so much and stay safe all.
HI, i used a green screen (which i have not used for years). I was already in front of the green screen at the beginning and used a picture of my kitchen..... even though i was still in the kitchen.
Thomas Weir was captain of Edinburgh's town guard. He was the one who lead Montrose up the Royal Mile to his death. Strange part was he was coloured Gentleman. Meaning he shouldn't have got to such high standing as he did. April 9th 1670 he was. Hung at Gallowlee she was hung in the Grassmarket. Not gone part still stands.
Major thomas weir.....was a strange man who was a stranger in a strange time for he practiced various teachings and stories say that his presence is still felt around west bow and some pubs around the grass market for his flock were mostly the lower class .....as for his sister....she has been picked up around greyfriars doing her rounds
You need to mix back your music and sound effects so they *don't* drown out your narration of your story. The sound effects and music tracks can be at 100% but should be attenuated to about 15-to-20% at the point where your narration begins while the native audio containing your voice should be at 100%.
Background music is way too loud. It's difficult Is to hear the storyteller because he also speaks very low. Even the baby crying in the 1st story drowned out the storyteller. The storyteller sounds really good and and probably the stories would still be very effective with no background sounds at all, Or at least toned down a lot but yet you can hear it
You are the Scottish Rod Serling. Love to listen to your stories!

You are pretty good at spinning a yarn.

You have a great voice to be a voice-over artist!
If only a voice over agent wanted me.

Love the dog!!! Border terrier??
Yep, our wee border terrier, Merlin.
To me, I think the stories are myths. When you come across the real stuff, you know about it !
Last rights!! A minister. I hae ma doots !!!
Love the stories...but found the music a little loud as you are soft spoken
Good morning to you and Kirsten from New England. You need to get out into the sun Tony. You're not quite as "blue" as Krishna but... >;- }
Sir Richard Lawson take. It was said to be King James 4th wife that read out the names to stop him going into the battle.
