They are the cutest carrot strings I ever seen. This salad is good. I have made it many times. I usually use cilantro, but sometimes I do parsley if the store is out of cilantro.
I wouldn't think of couscous either, but this Pearl couscous works great...it's only couscous in name, too me...when I think of couscous, it's much smaller
🎉🥗🎉 So perfect for the Summer & easy to make too 🥰 You can also substitute the Couscous with Orzo 😺( that i have a lot of btw) 🌴🏖️🌴 Have a Great Weekend 😎
Yum yum gotta make me some! CB I think you should have added some cilantro with the parsley. It brings it to another level. Absolutely 💯 agree with changing the textures and shapes of food. To the mind, it freshens up and excites the appeal to eat. Liked the zesting of the carrots. Will try that. Have a great weekend, CG + CB. 😊
Cilantro is great--definitely one of my favorite ingredients--I'm glad I'm not one of those folks who perceive cilantro as having a soapy taste! The only thing worse would be a peanut allergy!
Sounds tasty. But glycemic index/load too high for some folks to eat, Couscous glycemicindex/load higher than white rice ,BUT more protein. .Thank you for vid
If you refrigerate or freeze bread and pasta, the process decreases the glycemic index because the starch molecules are altered to become less resistant to enzymes. Also, if you toast bread that's frozen, it reduces the glycemic index even more.
Would like to see a nice slow cooked for a few hours spicy ground beef chili with fresh chopped tomatoes and peppers recipe with red kidney beans sir Boom ! I feel you need to do this boom to Rocket you to a beautiful relaxing place that you deserve ! Boom !

we're generally more cilantro folks than parsley folks, but I do like curly parsley in dishes like this (Italian parsley wilts too easily, I think)
Simple, healthy, beautiful ❣️
thanks for watching!
Thanks, CB. The freshly made dressing with lemon, ginger and garlic is what elevates this salad above the same-old. Hope CG enjoyed it.
I do enjoy a good salad and adding couscous to it will be an interest twist 🥗
Thanks Chef Buck! I needed a new pasta salad, never crossed my mind couscous.. You and Camera Girl have a wonderful Summer!! Bless!

@@Master_Petes_Theater whaaat? Thanks for telling this!
@franb56 You're welcome! The process is called "retrogradation".
Maybe use cubes of halloumi or mozzarella cheese instead of couscous. Removes starch, adds protein.
