Back in the 70s, 80s and the early 90s up to 1995.
they were two old 1970s Otis lifts in the market carpark.
In 1995 the Luton Arndale Centre had a major refurbishment the two old 1970s Otis lifts in the market carpark got ripped out and replace with one Thyssenkrupp lift.
In the mid 2000s the Thyssenkrupp lift was modernised by kone.
The two old 1970s Otis lifts the right lift used to down to the street level.
The left lift goes down to the service area what you have have filmed.
I have been down service area in that lift I had a special key for it in the 90s.
The right lift used to down to the street level is a empty lift shift.
lf you go down to the street level and go round the back of the market carpark lift tower you might find changes in the brickwork where was the right lift used to be.

After a recent trip it is indeed working. But it behaves like LCE watch the indicator this could be one of the rare TVC LCE configs.

That’s the market lift right? How olds the footage I went twice not long ago and it’s doors were hanging off on 5.

I went in August I have a big backlog of videos when we're the doors hanging off o might go and check that out soon I want to try and get a ALX in Luton soon so yeah

@@TheUKTransportCollection I was in Luton today this lift has new doors on the floor it was kicked in on and it's working again
