What an amazing channel you have created. I have been watching people for over 2 years waiting to move to Hawaii and honestly yes some videos have been helpful in their own way but just missing the point every time. I learnt more in this video than I have in the last 2-3 years. How you gave us the visual aspect on the personalities of the actual Islands! Fantastic. I learnt so much in a very enjoyable way. You sir are a credit to the islands so respectful in being so honest and getting your point across without upsetting anyone. Job we’ll done. My wife and I watched the video I watched it again today. We currently live in Thailand were we plan to leave we have two small children and want a new start in life and feel Maui is the right place for us. Thank you for a great in-depth 34 mins I enjoyed it so much. We will be contacting you for a house sale for sure and be glad to pay you for your information as we feel it’s well worth it.🙏
Thank you so much for your kind words! Please let me know if you'd like to schedule a 15 minute strategy call and I will help you sort out the important details prior to your move. Thank you again!
I have no clue how you can compare Maui to the mainland. Maui is distinctively unlike any place on the mainland with it uniquely Hawaiian island vibe. It is an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean with its own volcano. People here love the Hawaiian culture and we live aloha everyday. We are definitely not related to the mainland. We are Hawaiian.
Haha.. you make a good point... definitely not comparing it to the mainland as a place, but if any Island has more of a mainland feel culturally, due to the blend of transplants vs locals, Maui definitely has the highest ratio of transplants, which gives it a feeling of being more like the mainland than most other islands. Not scientific by any stretch, but that is my thought at least. I do love me some Maui though... people always ask where I vacation when I live in Hawaii... I tell them Maui! :D Thanks for your comment!
When we lived in Maui, we spend time on every island. However, we never find as much magic as we found on Maui. And the Big Island is FILLED with magic.
I experienced a very similar thing about the culture in Vermont. Most people came for law school and left very quickly. I started doing things locally and not sticking with the school community and am still here nine years later. Locals like the dark robust maple syrup.
Great video, insightful in way that truly is useful to a prospective buyer, not the usual "this is a great location for brunch yadda yadda yadda!!!" We're looking to possibly move to Hawaii and this has given some great pointers. We will surely give you guys a call when we are over towards the end of this summer/fall to visit to view properties.
Haha thanks Raj so glad to hear and thank you for letting us know! I'll give you brunch recommendations in person, sound good? 😂 We look forward to working with you.
You can keep Maui. And California. I love Kawai very much like Oregon the farming community. Only one small road that goes 3/4 of the way around so the tours are stuck on that all day. Many of the surf finals are held there and many of the beaches have severe undertow. It keeps away the riffraff

Anyone that owned a leasehold in the Lahaina fires just literally lost everything that would be the biggest risk in a leasehold would be a natural disaster and having to start all over again even if the landowner decided to lease the complex would have to agree to build again, leasehold would be worth it if you had 250k to lose and it not hurt u financially
My wife and I are in themid 60s early 70s. We are thinking about retirement in Hawaii. We have done some research and know some places don't care for people care for people from the mainland. So knowing this. Where would be the place to live at and have good veterans medical
The problem with living on the outer islands is medical. For example my uncle, whenever he needs surgery, he has to fly to Oahu. There is a shortage of doctors and nurses island wide.
There's a movement among ethnic Hawaiians to encourage each other not to sell property to non-Hawaiians. I really don't want to piss anyone off. Is there any part of the islands that native Hawaiians have sort-of given up on? I mean is there a locale in the Islands where a haole could purchase a residence and not upset anyone? Maybe 2000' up the Kona coast or something like that?
It’s much more nuanced than that… basically the answer is no there is no part of the islands that native Hawaiians have given up on. There are many factors, but each individual real estate transaction brings with it it’s own set of factors.
Hawaiians have not given up on the land. They are still fighting for Hawaiian Homelands. A lot of Hawaiian land was stolen by outsiders. Study the history. There’s a housing shortage right now. An average house is a million.
My family and I love the Big Island. Waimea is such a gorgeous place. Waikoloa gets a little too touristy.
Super interesting stuff! Great story teller, kept me engaged the entire video. Really enjoyed learning about all the islands.

Real Estate is highest of all the islands on Maui. Best way is to check out the islands in person. Maui is my least favorite island.

My personal experience in working is that a lot of people from the mainland move here but a lot of them don’t stay because it’s expensive.
Hi Sir Hal! I've learned a lot from you. This is Louie.😊🖐️ Started watching all your videos.
Thanks Louie!

The Big Island is our favorite of all the islands. ❤️
#1 'gotcha'! particle board/plywood cabinets(home depot) will swell & be useless, have 4 seasons mold mildew rust n corrosion

Kailua-Kona is my vibe.

Kauai is nice
Kauai is the spelling.
Kauai, not Kawai.
Wettest spot of all the islands. But Kauai got hit by hurricanes twice. That’s the risk. Hurricane Iniki and Iwa. Read about it.
You said you got the tourist attitude when on Kauai, yet I didn't get that at all I felt very welcome. I did however get that vibe strongly on Maui.
Hey Justin thanks for the comment - there’s no hard and fast rule that’s for sure.
@@HawaiiPropertyAdvisors I was just honored to be able to even visit the beautiful lands of Hawaii!
I will be buying in the next 12 months, I will follow your videos and touch base when I'm ready to buy.

im curious about the sears building and the night marchers story. would they march through the building?
Well they are considered ghosts and yes, allegedly at night they would go through the same route where the store was built over an old trail.

Honolulu, where Tripler Army Hospital and Spark Matsunaga VA Center is would be ideal.
Would Like to know if anyone can own there home and land there free an clear if they want to live there.
Yes we work with all-cash buyers regularly

Although not affordable, I would think one could hide in a multi-unit condo that's gated. Shopping at the Target or Walmart should provide cover too.
