Little tip with regards to the fireball: the tile it selects to land on is chosen at around the moment he spits it out, not when he initially starts an attack animation like with just about every other monster ingame (like when you pray flick missiles). This means, that if you are clicking only two squares away and click very quickly, the fireball will spawn on your head. move 6 squares+ to be safe

For anyone new watching this, it took me 17 tries until I got annoyed and I decided to try it on my phone since I don't have the best clicking speed on PC, I got it first tried on mobile it's easier to control in my opinion

The problem with using a twisted bow or any two-handed weapon is that without some type of anti-dragon shield you will have very poor protection against his dragonfire attacks. Potions alone will barely reduce damage, a shield alone will reduce a lot and both together will completely negate damage from his standard dragonfire attacks. So you will need the shield for this fight. This boss has an item retrieval service, every time you die you can pay 100k to get all of your stuff back. If you die before retrieving your items, they will be lost forever, but this is easy to prevent by going straight back to get it and having 100k ready.
I hate galvek so much. Those balls spawned on me twice in a row while staying in middle. I've got him to the second phase twice. I've had my computer freeze so many times on the fireballs. I click character doesn't move click again too late dead. Ugh. I've even gotten my bgs spec on him for 44 damage still wrecked. What levels would you recommend to complete this? Should I just grind my combat stats to 90?
I'm 107 combat. And I used mage pray the whole time. For me, the dragon sends more magic attacks than range attacks. But that's just me. It did take me 3 tries to kill him.
I tried praying magic the whole way and ran out of food. Then I tried ranged and it really made a huge difference. Wasn’t getting hit at 20s as often and killed him with a couple food left to spare. I’d say praying ranged is better

Doing this at 95cmb is aids. I use full Karils, dragon hunter cbow, ruby bolts E even tried with dragon version + diamond bolts. Serp helm, dfs. Everything goes well but he still hits through my prayer heavily. even when I use super anti fires. Those red missles he does hits like 28s on me. fucking annoying
those arent tips or tricks thats just a explanation. for tips, use war hammer special attacks and if u dont hit at least 1 then tp the fuck out and try again. ideally ud want to spec him twice

After 5 deaths to the waves I realized TURN OFF AUTO RETALIATE! when he hits you auto pulls you into the waves.
It's like a right of passage. I feel like most people don't know to do this until 5 deaths in, me being one.

The problem with using a twisted bow or any two-handed weapon is that without some type of anti-dragon shield you will have very poor protection against his dragonfire attacks. I'm currently 85 range 79 atk 84 str 80 defense 86 HP 80 pray.
I would get around 85-90 range and you should be good after a few attempts
