Use to have this exact radio..what a tank..of a radio..and would love to have another one..they can talk for days at a time..and never stop..very solid and built...you could make 2 radios out of the materials today from this radio..mine had the original white filament bulbs...in it..I would love to have it back...It never failed..never...Mine was stolen from my stolen truck, in Virginia back in 2001. Never got the radio back, got the truck back tho..by myself,, cops couldn't even find it..I found it..
Brandon, No one has a step by step, that I have found. I will have to see if I can get one together. What I did is, used LED's. You have to take the whole front plate off from the chassis, remove the PC board from the front plate and solder in the LED's. - Be patient, takes time and if you have never done this before, you can rip cables, wires, break switches, lift traces off the baord or it won't "fit" perfectly back in place! I have used BLUE but WHITE looks nice too! 73s
