Really hitting it out of the park with these last two videos, I barley watch any other Japanese learning RUclips channel. These videos are the chocolate and peanut butter combination of Japanese learning. Great work Matt.
Awesome Matt! I'm not taking the N3 for a while but I recognized a lot of this from just playing games and the explanations really helped so now I actually know what I'm hearing😂 also just a quick question, with もしも and たら, why would you need もしも as opposed to just using the たら form of the verb, is there any reason or is it putting more emphasis on the case that it happens or anything? You're a better explainer than I am for sure😂 Thanks for the video again Matt!
You probably already know the answer by now, but your assumption is correct. All もしも does is emphasize the “IF” part of the sentence. It’s a similar thing to what もしかしたら〜かもしれない shown earlier does. There are several grammar points in Japanese like this, which may sound redundant in English. Anyway, just answering in case someone else stumbles upon your question.
I seriosusly had to double check this wasn't a re-upload of the video from yesterday since two high quality videos like this is un heard of. edit: Also did you hire a voice actor for the FFIX clip(s)? as far as I could tell in a tiny bit of browsing the game doesn't have voice acting. Same with some of the other retro game
Jeez. Mo~Ba~Mo part is really wrecks my brain. Especially when you play metal gear solid and have to translate it on the go. Why not use - "He is human (そうして) he goes to sleep and to the toilet.
Yeah its really tough! Most dictionaries just translate it simply to 'and' but I feel looking at the literal translation does help a little help understand why each part is there. Definitely one of the more trickier pieces of grammar for sure!
I believe I explained in the video, but もしかして is used interrogatives/asking questions about someone else's situation. もしかしたら is just the normal hypothetical ( can use with self)
Could we finish the N5 stuff that you started months ago first before we go into other memes first? o.o As a beginner it feels really weird with most stuff being kinda half done that started months if not over a year ago o.O
Sure! I just did a N5 video yesterday! What kind of N5 videos would you like to see? I have already finished all the N5 grammar, but have been going back through it for complete beginners. Right now I work 2 full-time jobs so this year has been really hard to get as much as I want out, that's why next year I'll be trying to go full-time Game Gengo thanks to everyone's support
@@GameGengo I mean the JLPT N5 Kanji Series that you started over a year ago, I just recently found ur channel and really enjoyed them, but the series doesn't seem to be finished from all I could find

Great video as usual.
Whoever is doing the female voices sounds great, good job!
A really good video idea that I'd SUPER appreciate is keigo and verb conjugation 😩
I always hear these in anime, can't wait to listen to this lesson tomorrow. Thanks again
Thanks for all your support Punjabigrown
Thank you so much, I never knew what もしも did and fond of filtered it out when reading. But it’s actually quite simple with the explanation. Awesome
I love these so much because I'm also seeing cool looking games, and i sometimes lose my studying motivation but that brings it back
You’re videos are amazing, I even listen to them while cooking or cleaning.
Marvelous job! Thank you!!!
Good video, I was wondering ifyou would also make videos for N2 preparation, that would be great
Not to be nitpicky or anything but i believe what she's saying at 03:04 is not what's written in the subtitles. I believe it's 「。世界へかえる方法。。」

Yeah he actually used an awesome member of the Discord Patreon Server called くー and they did the voice acting for it since there's none in the game!
@@TechAreUs That's really awesome :D
Anyone know the song that plays at 7:50?

What's the difference betweeb Moshikashite and Moshikashitara?

@@GameGengo Thanks for the swift reply and explanation. I must have missed that bit. I will rewatch the video, like I usually do :D
