It's actually funny how ppl who has English as native language complain about his accent when they probs don't even speak another language other than English. His vocals are amazing, stop pointing out his accent.
It annoys me so much, I'm a native English speaker (from England), and yeah, he has an accent, but it's adorable. He still sings bloody amazingly, which is what counts :D I voted for him literally 7 times on Saturday, he's brilliant (and Rhythm Inside, omfg, had it on repeat since Tuesday at the semi final), the UK only gave him 3 :'( He should've won but oh well, he's currently charting across Europe :D Btw, I speak French and Spanish, not all English-speaking natives are monolingual morons ;)

As someone who speaks English better than her native language (oops) I find his accent really cute, and I understand it's hard to be without one on other languages - I have a really thick European accent, for example. People should stop complaining on accents, these are parts of the human race. How can we be different without them?

well, to be honest, he's a countertenor. Their vocal range is quite similar to an alto. Nothing surprising here. That's his natural vocal range. :)
He is not a countertenor because what you hear in this cover is his chest voice. Countertenors sing with their head voices. Loïc is a very high tenor.

People complaining about his accent: it's not easy to learn a new language, and even harder to speak it without your natural accent (that's really hard to get rid of). People make fun of my accent when I speak Italian bc my first language is Finnish and the intonation in those two languages is completely different. And it does not feel nice. Especially when I know they can understand me perfectly so it doesn't even matter if I have an accent or not. So please stop making a big deal out of the way he pronounces some words, his vocals are incredible and passionate and that's all that matters.
