Before you go into the comment section to rant about this being a copy of Squimpus McGrimpus, let me bring you up to speed. I got permission from Squimpus McGrimpus to remake the FNAF VHS series. I am putting my spin on the originals using my vintage fnaf models. Enjoy the video.
this was fuckin bone chilling dude, great job! in hindsight watching at night was an awful idea but it’s awesome nonetheless!
You did amazing job with this! I got scared fr because I’m watching at night lol
Man watching this at night is surely entertaining👹
So there will be more of them? Awesome! :D
This one turned out well if you ask me

I’d say the scariest part of these animations is how slow the animatronics move. If they were to be charging and pursuing you, it wouldn’t really be as scary cuz they’re *supposed* to be scary, but they move so slowly and mechanically. You *know* they could probably jump and rip your face off in seconds, but they just DONT, so the thought’s always in the back of your head expecting the worst
Yea that makes sense I mean the only fast one is foxy but I mean he is more slimmer and meant to be nimble than these hunks of pure metal.

you just read my mind sir/ma'am.
there have actually been studies done on pretty much just that. i don't remember the specific numbers for this study, so i'll just use numbers that were near the originals. you'll get the point.
a group of people were collected to run a study back in the 2000s. each was given a choice to make: they can go through 10 quite painful electric shocks, each one 15 seconds apart (option 1). or they could go through 10 mildly painful electric shocks, each one 5 minutes apart (option 2). about half of the group chose option 1, and the other half chose option 2. after the shocks were concluded, the participants recorded their experiences.
the majority of participants who chose option 1 said that it wasn't that bad. the shocks hurt quite a bit, but it was over quickly. what gets interesting is the option 2 participants. almost every one of them said that they had a very bad experience. even though the shocks weren't very bad, they had 5 whole minutes of doing nothing but waiting for the shock. the anxiety built up, and that brought fear into them that got greater and greater until they were shocked.
this is similar to what you are describing in a way. you, along with most people, are more afraid of anticipating that something will happen than they are of it actually happening. it's why the jump scares in fnaf (used to be) so effective. you knew they were coming, but you didn't know when or how, so lots of fear and anxiety built up. then when the jump scare happens, it'll likely startle you, but its really a lot better than the moments before the jump scare.

Wow, that’s really interesting! Thanks for sharing :)
I like how that beginning scene kind of represents what FNAF is all about. An animatronic trying to comfort a child and help them, and instead making them afraid for their life.

The first part is much scarier to me than the actual sound response check.
Imagine being a child just lost in a pizzeria restroom and that humungous yellow thing that towers over you and is much stronger than you is out to get you when you have no escape route out of that restroom.
As a former child who several times was scared of a coat hanger's shape in the dark even though I knew it was there during the day, I think I would have fainted before Chica could even get near me.
You get lucky you fainted and won't know you died
"as a former child" lmaooooooo
well according to the vhs tape, the animatronics respond to sounds of children so maybe it would have stopped if the child didn't keep screaming
I can't blame them for screaming though, it would be a common reaction
the problem with the 1st part is that it makes literally no sense from a lore perspective. It is the funtimes that have the child kidnapping equipment. the Original crew are not the ones that harm children.
If that was me and I knew that they respond to the sounds of children then I would be so god damn quite and I would hold my breath until I know she’s gone.
The idea of being trapped inside of an animatronic suit not being able to breath is kinda terrifying on concept alone, well done!
I never actually noticed that the beginning part meant something. After the bathroom part her ear sensors were blown because of the child she killed in the bathroom screaming so loud. That’s scary…
Utterly terrifying
The video has so much metaphorically meaning, it’s hella terrifying, not just from the sounds and chica herself, but the words.
Like the snow bird, probably just her getting stabbed in the lungs or throat and not being able to breath, her body turning cold like snow from blood loss, and dying slowly without being able to do anything.
I didn't noticed that too
She didn't mean 2
she might not have killed her. i think she somehow knocked out chica
Girl: “Mommy…”
Chica: “You have chosen death.”

If the original fnaf had animatronics like this and worked it's way up to modern security breach-esk animatronics while still having this gut wrenching psychological horror I feel like fnaf would have been a much scarier series, especially when you add in the murdered children lore

it’s the fact that Chica was trying to warn her by saying “it’s time to go home, baby bird..” and when she says “take me home with you” it was her cry for help because if you look closely you can see William behind Chica. ( 0:39) Her cry for help meant that she is trying to escape William’s control because she knows it is wrong.

I absolutely love how theses tapes aren’t solely dependant on the jumpsacres and fear factor, but more on the feeling of being uncomfortable and unsettled It is awesome what you can do with game characters and editing and sound. This is single handedly the creepiest fnaf VHS I have seen thus far, it might also help to mention that I have always found Chica as the most unsettling character of the group, yes Bonnie was creepy but Chica took the cake, and in these tapes it only proves my point even more! I LOVE IT! Keep up the greate work Battington! You make the fnaf fandoms 5,000 times cooler and scarier 😊❤😅😂
I love this more physiological horror part of fnaf that’s more similar to the Walten files, and the fact that it focuses on the children instead of “spooky jumpscare” or “purple guy”. I like the current day fnaf but I think it could’ve been taken in this kind of more realistic feeling, much scarier direction. The previously disturbing games pale in comparison to this style of horror.
Omg yes! I found the lore more disturbing when it was focused on the children and animatronics. The focus on purple guy/William Afton ruins the horror a bit for me. As a 12 year old in 2015, I thought the animatronics themselves were the bad guys, not just some guy who felt like killing kids one day. The potential the lore and the games had were insane. Not saying it’s bad now, but this is insanely good horror and more disturbing than jumpscares and the lore abt Purple guy.
@@superbrellis1829 yeah and when you look at it like this you understand more the discomfort and pain theyre in for so long
That’s why I love fnaf 3 and 4. 1 too actually. They got the perfect atmosphere
I think the direction was changed from realistic to more fantasy after the fanbase was swarmed with children. I don’t think Scott would have ever imagined the FNAF franchise would be popular among younger kids. To make sure he kept his audience, he had to change the tone of the future games.
@@marz7102 true, but it wasn’t like this from the start, and i think that if you have an idea for a project that isn’t targeted towards children but they look at it anyway, you shouldn’t have to change what you want to do with it
These "Analogue horror" VHS tapes of FNAF are really cool. Not as terrifying as some make them out to be, but unsettling nevertheless. Great job, I look forward to more.
The terrifying part is you expect jumpscares... but they never come.
It's not psychological horror.. its psychological torture
I find this way scarier than the games themselves, it's so disturbing and stressing it repulses me to the highest level
Yeah these and scrumpus mcgrumpus vhs tapes are scary
Edit:just realized these vids are remakes
Yeah, in my opinion, nothing, that follows the “VHS tapes” horror genre, can compare to The Walten Files
Agreed.
I like how her laugh replays instead of it just being a continued one. Makes it more realistic.
What makes it scary is the fact that it’s the exact same sound replaying
@@herospaces4114 i mean he just said that but alright
OMG you also know what makes it scary? It plays on repeat!
But something you don't hear often, is that the laugh replays
Another scary detail is the fact that the laugh replays
I don’t care if there’s no jumpscares. This is horrifying
Bro Play it slow at 2:59

Imagine if fnaf had cut scenes like this? The games would be 10x scarier
I FUCKING KNOW RIGHT?!! PEOPLE NEED TO REMASTER FNAF WITH THESE CUT SCENES.
Ye
Honestly i think if scott had a bigger budget ((hell at this point im sure he does)) but i mean when he first started im sure he might have fleshed out the world like this but i think he likes leaving the fans with the appropriate talent to do that stuff cause they like to do so and it brings the community closer and such.
I dunno just my thoughts on this.
Pretty sure fnaf plus (remake of fnaf 1) will have cut scenes like this
I honestly dont think it would be nearly as appealing to kids if it was. It would stop being a dark spooky game and turn into a depressing scary one. Which would be cool for the concept of FNAF but its mark on pop culture would be totally different.
