You need to watch yourself during this performance. You couldn't wipe the smile off your face the entire time. Excellent to see you enjoy Ian like we have for so many years.
Heline, yes you're right, this is a different arrangement. It has evolved over the many years I've see Ian/Jethro Tull play. One of the most entertaining showman on stage. Thank you for this.
No need to explain that you've reacted to Bourree already. I think it is important for you to see Ian in later performances to understand his evolution. I know you are interested in his technique and while we all love the early performances, since they are so raw and full of energy and 60's coolness, it is also nice to see Ian in a more refined setting, using a superior flute, exhibiting better mastery of the flute (after all the decades of playing) and yet still letting us hear his "sound" i.e., what he created - the 'flute in a rock setting" . I really love to see your enjoyment of watching his performances. It takes me back to when I first became a fan.
I was fortunate enough to see Ian and his band play the entirety of Thick as a Brick 1 and Thick as a Brick 2 back 10 years or so. Plus it was a smaller venue and I was in the front row! It was the one and only time I saw him, but it was definitely worth it! Great entertainer and great flutist!
Hi : ) I saw PFM in '77 at the Roxy on Sunset; Amazing concert. Tull, unforgettable. Fortunate enough to have seen them twice, 2nd time was in London. Thanks Ms. H. ! 💜
I was lucky enough to go the the Broadsword show in Manchester. My friend I went with lived near Martin Barre and he took us to the aftershow drinks in a hotel in Piccadilly, great to meet and chat to Ian and the band. I still have the program with the signatures in.
Hi Heline! I have been occupied with little this and that, so I haven´t been able to follow your live streams for a while. Thanks for the amazing content you have uploaded recently, I have been able to follow you at least that way.
"PRemiata forneria Marconi" litterally means "Prized Marconi bakery" which is the favorite bakery of one of the group member situated near Brescia (city near Garda lake in the north of Italy)
Thank you, Heline, for this wonderful video ! I love watching your reactions ! I know, it is a lot of work to put this video and ALL the videos you have done over these years together, and it is very much appreciated ! You are so talented and play your flute so beautifully ! Wishing you and yours well and hope someday to see your smiling face in person ! With Love, Fran Danco
Watch interviews with him when he talks about the flute. Having grown up with his music and still love it to this day. Love your reaction to his style of playing. Take care.
Thanks. Love this. A much refined version. Ian was the impetus for me starting the flue 30 yrs ago. Now in my late seventies still play in a couple of different bands. If you would like to evaluate a jazz flutist sometime. Check out. Nestor Torres. Incredible Latin Jazz.
Definitely check out more of the thrice-great PFM. I saw them, along with ELP and 250,000 prog and otherwise fans at Charlotte Speedway in August of '74, and they were actually the best of all. I think they are still touring even. "Celebration" is one of their better songs. NicknLex, who also react to music and are real sweethearts, in more ways than one, also reacted to some great songs by PFM, but the titles elude me at the moment. Ian's "Thick as a Brick" is not to be missed either. New subscriber. Tusen takk!
Ian's daughter was taking flute lessons in school, and she noticed her father was hold the flute incorrectly. He had been holding wrong all these years since the late 60s.
Time an eye exam and an up date of your glasses because you could not see the lead from the flute. Also in his song My God he must have heard you and was using his "pinkie". Love your reactions by the way.
Yes try to listen PFM. Not much flute, but we are Italian...much melody.(Maybe start with Dolce Maria, the ending is using flute) You're very cute and good musician, hello from Italy.
Ian has told the rest of us that around 30 years ago, when his daughter was learning to plays the flute, she told him that he played it all wrong, with the wrong fingers. And what did Ian do then? He re-learned howe to play the flute.Do that might be the difference you note between the two versions you have listened to. Also, thanks for not sopping the video very five seconds as some doing similar videos to your do. It is quite annoying. Good job!
You need to watch yourself during this performance. You couldn't wipe the smile off your face the entire time.
Excellent to see you enjoy Ian like we have for so many years.
I’ve seen tull probably around 50 times his music never gets old, still going strong in his 70’s!!!
Kiss from italy . PFM is a very important band in italy, thank you for the adorable reaction. Kiss
Heline, yes you're right, this is a different arrangement. It has evolved over the many years I've see Ian/Jethro Tull play. One of the most entertaining showman on stage. Thank you for this.
Ian could take this concept on a world wide tour with every major city orchestra. Guaranteed crowd pleaser.
Hi Heline. Have you ever played the flute on one leg? Ian Anserson is a wonderful musician and a great artist.

A very good reaction to Ian! It's obvious you enjoy watching him perform and makes it enjoyable for us to see your critique. ❤

Pfm is a wonderful prog band, well known internationally especially between 70s and 80s when they entered in both British and American charts
Ian has a lot of fun with the music. Improvisation is a strong point with him. Great video. Thank you.👍♥️

PFM is an AWESOME Prog band. The expressions and smile on your face, is priceless.
Awesome, thank you!!!
I was thinking to myself, I do that sometimes. Great video.
Great reaction, analysis. Gratitude for analysis increíble. Thank you. God blessed you.
I enjoy all your videos .
It's just outstanding!
Hi Heline! This and Tull Bach double concerto, live Berlin 1985 with Eddie Jobson my favorites with violin! Fun song spot-on! Thank you🦄
One of my favourites is “La carrozza di Hans”, a prog masterpiece from ‘72

I think you’d enjoy a video of him playing at a Mozart festival. It’s titled Ian Anderson & Lucia Micarelli- Mo’z Art Medley
PFM have good songs with flute: É Festa, Dulcissima Maria , In my face on straight and Via Lumiere
Always a pleasure.

...Ms. H. mentioned that in another video last year
: )
Ian was self taught no lessons at all probably explains why he held it wrong and didn't use his pinky finger
That's the idea, unconventional
Saw TULL 23 times ... always a great show that left you feeling better !
I love watching Ian, and I just want to say you are a beautiful lady.
listen to Jethro Tull since I was born I think, lol
Btw your pronounciation of "Premiata Forneria Marconi" was pretty good!
Time an eye exam and an up date of your glasses because you could not see the lead from the flute. Also in his song My God he must have heard you and was using his "pinkie". Love your reactions by the way.
Ian Is Plain GREAT!!!!!!
You're so adorable Heline!
Ciao da Roma!
He is a very good jazz flautist.
Yes try to listen PFM. Not much flute, but we are Italian...much melody.(Maybe start with Dolce Maria, the ending is using flute)
You're very cute and good musician, hello from Italy.
He makes it swing. With a flute.
Perhaps the reason his flute is taped at the joints is because he twirls it like a baton during his performance.
Sei stata Bravissima a dire Premiata Forneria Marconi
Anna Magdalena Bach piece for piano!

PFM?
Italian band, they've been rockin since the 70s.
Seen em at the Roxy on Sunset, Hollywood, CA
Heline how about going on a full heavy metal distortion mosh pit type of tirade on ur steel
ahhhhh I remember! Ian Anderson smoking when was young and play the Flute in Jhetro Tull
Do you see the pinky of Anderson now?
Snorking....rsrs
an old men's combo
The intro (before Ian came out) sounded just like Kansas....only not as good...
Premiata Forneria Marconi.💪
