They are dangerous. I stumbled upon them a few days ago, and have been watching them for hours upon hours when I should have been doing other things. How is it even possible to dance and hit the glockenspiel keys, or wave your flute and still keep on playing? Not only must they practice some 25 hours a day, but ultimately as well prepare for university... Out of this world.
Hold on, Hold on.... You say that they have to practice 25 hours a day but yet there are only 24 hours in a day. If you are going to say your opinion along with facts, please make the facts true lol
I discovered them last week, and I, too, have watched hours of their performances instead of doing other things. Truly remarkable. And to think that they have to change out a third of the group every year and still keep up the high level of quality!

Everything about Kyoto Tachibana's High School Marching Band is hands down brilliant and wonderful because even with the pitch perfect music, you can see they are all having fun doing it. Music is meant to be about having fun! Also they partially remind me of that movie "Swing Girls" (an amazing comedy movie from Japan).
@Dave Klonpenberg so you are putting everyone from Asia into one group? That's pretty racist and shallow. The japanese are probably the most respectful people on the planet and definitely does not deserve that comment
Watching this high school marching band makes me speechless. We Americans in high school are really stiff compared to them. From my experience we hardly move our body but our feet and the we get reprimanded for not standing straight.
I meannthe spend a lot of time on this and they are one of the top schools so this isn't highschool level. It's more like college level stuff if you compare this to America. Also in America kids go to the closest highschool but in Japan there are tests to get into the schools.
I think it depends on your high school. My first high school one sucked, and then my second one was amazing and already had us playing and performing that college level music. So I got to do actual competitions with that band.
Tokyo has a lot of stiff marching bands from the "American military" school of marching (our troops introduced marching bands to Japan and shared their techniques) and this band from Kyoto has deliberately decided to be different from Tokyo marching bands by emphasizing fun, dancing, and femininity, and it really works for them. It also doesn't hurt their performance skills that they literally practice 360 of 365 days of the year. They know every move by heart.

And they use that power to do anime kicks, little hops, and play some good old tunes. True art

the lung capacity these kids have must be insane..
Crystal Snow I’ve heard they run miles on the track before even playing!
maybe they do circular breathing
「 yvonne 」 how does one even do that?
alyssa
its impossible.. but possible at the same time. its friggin hard
Whispers *it's the asianss*
They are dangerous. I stumbled upon them a few days ago, and have been watching them for hours upon hours when I should have been doing other things. How is it even possible to dance and hit the glockenspiel keys, or wave your flute and still keep on playing? Not only must they practice some 25 hours a day, but ultimately as well prepare for university... Out of this world.
Anders Ringström,
I called them superheroes.
They are literally superhumans. Stan Lee should do a show about them.
Well nothing is impossible that why I loved Japan..☺
Hold on, Hold on.... You say that they have to practice 25 hours a day but yet there are only 24 hours in a day. If you are going to say your opinion along with facts, please make the facts true lol
I discovered them last week, and I, too, have watched hours of their performances instead of doing other things. Truly remarkable. And to think that they have to change out a third of the group every year and still keep up the high level of quality!
@@abigailhawkfish384 It was just used for *exaggeration* . In reality, Kyoto Tachibana SHS Band practices 4 hours a day.
The kids play and perform better than Disney's own marching band let alone any college marching band.
@Carne Guisada the fact that you even had to get defensive and bring up college bands to compare to some kids in Japan who do it for fun really shows how great these kids are
@@JCARLOS408 he wasn't being defensive he was just saying not to put down any college bands, they are great yes but that doesn't mean he can put down other bands
They do like 40 hours a week practise, 360 days a year i heard
Nobody can beat the American bands its just they lack the 'kawai' factor...Stars and Stripes Forever isnt quite great if its not an American band playing..im not saying you all start to wear short skirts and do the Sousa marches.
@@mannyfernandez6860 Watch how they march idiot.
Hi im english
Everything about Kyoto Tachibana's High School Marching Band is hands down brilliant and wonderful because even with the pitch perfect music, you can see they are all having fun doing it. Music is meant to be about having fun! Also they partially remind me of that movie "Swing Girls" (an amazing comedy movie from Japan).
Can go for your
This
G gghfhghdhdhreeuygjjgyyijhuu
It's impressive that they can keep the sound so perfect while dancing and not out of breath for 8 minutes straight after 1 minute i'd be knackered.
MAVERICK 42 Apparently, they practice for 4 hours almost everyday!
There's a vid of them marching for 30mins and performed mint all throughout
@@excaliburgt4537 Yeah i seen a 27 minute video of them doing the same thing, It's all impressive for sure.
@Dave Klonpenberg wow really you had to go there.
@Dave Klonpenberg so you are putting everyone from Asia into one group? That's pretty racist and shallow. The japanese are probably the most respectful people on the planet and definitely does not deserve that comment
She is as strong as a deer. Stronger than a deer.
They are perfect

It depends, really, on what the show calls for. If you mean just the parades, some schools are more showy than others.
But they are only really moving their legs and I learned their routine in about in hour it's not that difficult
I dont understand にほんご much 😥😥
@@nijina8501 i can USe nihongo little bit 🤔
