Well, as someone that has been hit, my experience is that the body has this mechanism that says, "Nah, we can feel that later when this fight is over."
I think way to many kids are diagnosed with ADHD just because their mind is working overtime and they are having a hard time pointing that energy in the right direction. It’s mostly poor little boys who’s parents don’t want to do the work it take to raise them. I’m 43 so I was a kid before everyone had ADHD, but I’m sure I would get diagnosed with it if I was a kid now. I honestly think it’s a super power. I never miss a deadline, and I’m always learning something new. I get bored and move on to something else. I now can weld, sew, do leather work, program, rebuild motors, edit videos, and so on.
Same exact story. Just about having things to keep busy with and accepting that some people aren't going to understand. My parents just said I was 'hyper' and put lots of things to do in front of me.
@@aaronb7990 It's kinda weird that you mention that, cause i have adhd but I'm far from hyper ...I just don't talk out loud as much because my thoughts are on over-drive and I don't want to confuse the person...To put it plainly, my thoughts are hyper, my body doesn't show it (unless it's anxiety)...but that's another reason I have insomnia ...But having said all of that, I'd rather chill with a person who has adhd than someone who hardly thinks, lol
@@kristinadk yeah, I didn't 'bounce off the walls' just didn't want to be bothered to 'learn' the same thing over and over again. It isn't the lack of being able to pay attention, it's the want to move on to the next thing. Also like you said, alot of times I decline sparking a conversation with people I know won't be able to keep up, I know I will get bored or be 'rude'.

I got ADHD and ODD... Went to psychiatrists and psychologist for 10 years. I used to be fun. Now that dopamine inhibitor crap messed me up. I can't get excited at all.
Meds made me a zombie, I went down to next to nothing, and truth is, I am happier. This song is so fire, and my wife says she don't need meds, but trust me, she does!
Oh god, same here, all 4, and now a tumour right above my brain (not cancerous though! just benign and has to be removed) but it's just another add on ...like, when will it stop O..o ..I don't even feel like getting out of bed to pee half the time, it's horrible & now i gotta go get all these tests done etc because I had a seizure a few months back ...I can go on and on but yeah, I know you get it too! xx We all have different levels of it...some more severe than others, but it also depends on how you want to fix it rather than just depending on drugs (I hate taking pills, but need them for the seizure in case it happens again.. and Insomnia)

On a podcast I watched couple years ago the guest who was a psychiatrist that refused to prescribe medications for ADD or hyperactive kids said that every single professional sports star had been diagnosed as hyperactive or whatever abbreviations they use. He said "where's our sports stars,players, etc gonna come from if we are doping them down as kid's ' he also said that Adderall is crystal meth with one extra protein molecule added to it so that its easier to digest and don't eat he's in the kids stomachs.

wont give full details BUT my oldest has ADD/ADHD/APD within 45 days id say of him stopping the meds hed been on for a long time (we did switch to totally diff type & method before stopping all together) his entire personality changed, he became more vocal/outspoken in public & in school, was really social, gained weight and gained weight (meds can stunt growth or slow it, tend to be underweight since it can supress appetite and thats what he hated most on top of his mood swings, anxiety &nightmares had gotten awful) i will say some meds are great. they def helped with school/grades & we did see those all drop after meds stopped. he cannot stay focused BUT hes happier, and thats what matters, hes very smart, esp with video editing, page creating, has his own YT channel but id say DO YOUR RESEARCH before choosing a medication. hes now 16 going on 17 & its been 3yrs that we stopped any form of pills, & 2yrs since we stopped the patches, hes gone through 3 growth spurts, (&puberty so cant just say all from stopping meds) but he wore a juniors xl /16 weighed 110-115 lbs & now hes in mens medium/large or 34 pants & 145lbs 😳😮😆 i enjoy upchurch, have for quite some time and his energy is def relatable for what i go through with my two boys 😆😆😬
