I could listen to this one million times and never tire of it, it is an absolutely phenomenal piece of music.I feel lucky to have been alive to hear music this good,it is too bad most people will go through life and never have heard masterpieces like this-long live jazz(the greatest art form ever created)
Only a small percentage of "most people who will go through life and never have heard masterpieces like this" would appreciate it anyway. Same goes for the masterpieces of classical music; deep appreciation of great music is a precious gift which relatively few are blessed with.

i would drive sometimes for hours at night listening to my favorite jazz station on my fm tuner (late 60s'). when this came on i would lament over losing my ex girl friend. beautiful and full of emotion. he was great and so were the rest of the band. always in my heart. a shame he's gone.

These giants were very young and gave so much of themselves to the world . What a terrible lost to the jazz community. Yet, more than that, what a lost to the family. But at least they left us a great repertoire of musical dialogue that so few generations will after touch that!.
