Great review! Having a blast with the game! Series S owners need to know though that the game is pretty poorly optimized graphically and has some bugs that don’t allow you to buy a new truck without the game crashing. Graphically it’s super blurry too. I’m having a blast with it overlooking that and assuming it’ll be fixed at some point, but Series S owners just be aware!

Couldnt agree more. Aside from a bunch of bugs n crashing i had the first 30 mins the game plays great. And that score is pretty spot on and fair imo. I think in time with more updates that will bump up that score for sure. It is rather funny today they did a update and you put out the review hours later. Lol the timing was just funny. Ill be diving into more of this game tonight for sure. Well done great review!

Its a great start, i do hope they work on the core game for a long time before adding DLC, it needs alot of work to run alot better, it says 4k yet im struggling to read road signs, i personally seen 1080p games look better, hopefully this will improve over time, and better wheel support, plus a few bugs that many are reporting, i personally feel theres too many AI for Alaska, so hopefully we will get more options than just on/off, id also like for the tiredness animations to come in alot later than 40% ish, that feels odd...
Hopefully over the next few months this will feel like a much better driving game

Cgd - I started a brand new run on legendary. I got to say that’s the way to go for me. I’m at the beginning of winter with my first sleep. The roads are brutal. For me it’s the ultimate way to start. Thanks for the recommendation. As far as logistics update. I had my fingers crossed. 😢😢😢 thank you so much for your recent update on that game. @@CGDGAMES Off topic. tsw4 - I thin I ave purchased all of the most highest rated routes and I'm loving them all + 2 LOCOS - Gotta love that VECTRON and 380 - so now I have decided to continue with adding to my collection once there is another sale as I am up to 7000 timetable services and should start playing the game instead of collecting. But I am loving tsw4 + this game - was just about to purchase house flipper 2 but then decided to take it off my wish list. I have house flipper 1 and never even touched it. I still think the map is still far too small, not enough roads or forest tracks,the survival elements are not needed,the engine servicing and trailer coupling all too simplistic to be really called a sim. The promise of hunting and fishing was never introduced and this game has been in development for five years now. The graphics still look cartoony. I dont mean to be negative but its very average at best imo. Keep up the great work 👍

Finally a truck sim that shows potential thru the gate. But the graphical bugs are immersion breakers. They have already realeased a patch on the ps5 version fixing the truck select screen when buying a truck and most sound issues which makes me feel confident that they will patch this game in a timely manner.
I also heard they will be adding additional roads in the future. Not sure if they'll add DLC though.
We will have to wait and see , but I can only see this title get better and better

I am loving playing the game and I think it is the best trucking game that I have played on a console. And for the price, (now that it is sorted), as others have said, it does feel that we are robbing them.

I got this on the series x. And for some reason mine is extremely laggy , really annoying. With lots of popping with the graphics..
I've found that the game doesn't like to start from quick resume , it needs a fresh boot from the home screen every now and again , try that and let me know how you get on ?

I hear people wanting more traffic, but it’s Alaska, I think the volume of traffic is perfect and as you say the population is low in real life.
AI needs some TLC I agree.
But it’s a great foundation of a game and I have put almost 15 hours into it.
Wish list for me:
Cruise Control
Tyre tracks on dirt roads and dust kicking up from trailer.
A chance to open and build a HQ in the North of the region.
Finally;
a nice rumble of Engine Breaking.
But apart from that, the mirrors need some love and a bit of optimisation.
It’s really good.
I look forward to some nice DLC 🥰

Agree 100% great game and i don't mind 30fps lock..i keep ai turned off at the moment. But overall i love this game. Cone on devs get those bugs fixed were counting on you lol.. great and honest review my friend. Bless you buddy.

hi, how did you move the view further back on the series x???
Literally tilt your camera down , it gives you a better perspective of the cockpit and a better FOV , then go into settings and turn off camera prediction

How is this compared to snowrunner?
Snowrunner is far superior in every way , I reviewed this after 25 hours , 50+ hours in I started discovering game breaking bugs and issues that still haven't been fixed ! Stick with snowrunner

They will , I can't see why not , it will probably be paid DLC but I'm ok with that considering the price of the game, especially on console
This is a good review. I have been really enjoying this game. For all those people crying about 30fps, the game still looks and runs really smooth. I'm someone that really doesn't like 30fps games but this plays really smooth it doesn't even feel like 30fps. The bottom line is this is the only legit trucking sim ever made and it's the only one on console. It plays really good there's ton's of different loads to deliver. If you like trucking games and you don't buy this then you are missing out majorly. Also this is full 4k so if you don't have a PS5 or Series X expect your game experience to suffer 🤷🏾♂️.

@Pfarrer29 Can you walk around freely in these games? Can you go into different stores and buy food and drinks? Can you pop the hood of your truck and do maintenance on it? Can you connect the air lines, lock the 5th wheel and raise and lower the landing gear? This is why I say the only legit trucking sim. There's a lot more to being a trucker than just driving the truck.
@@nicholas969741 We have different criteria for what makes a trucking sim then, Nic, and that’s fine.
@Pfarrer29 Yeah that's fine. Those truck games were you just get in the truck and drive are cool. I like those too, but I can't think of any other trucking games that allow you to do the stuff that this one does. And coming from a real trucker, it means a lot that they put these features into the game. This puts it on a different level of its own in the truck sim category.
It needs 60fps to be better just for that smoother experience
We are all different in what we enjoy , the 30 FPS doesn't bother me , maybe sometime in the future they can bump it up !
Great game. I'm really enjoying it. Has a couple of bugs like the AI but nothing gamebreaking. Easily the best trucking game in my opinion

I just got the game a couple days ago on ps5 and too me it is great the only issue I’m having is when I try too buy a new truck my game crashes
A fix arrived last weekend to sort that on ps5 , but like yourself people are still suffering the issue
I’ve been watching PC gameplay and cannot help but since the striking difference from PC environment ie the colors ,textures and shadows in the terrain and the density that seem to be lacking and a little contrastingly to me, I understand PC can process graphics faster. But honestly comparing this sort of thing to console I know is a bit silly right?😅
The pc version is a lot more stable yes , but it's been out since last September and had around 5/6 updates in it's first few weeks , since then it's had regular updates , so yep the pc version is going to look a lot cleaner , firstly due to it being out longer , and secondly as you said vastly superior power that a pc can produce .
This will get there I promise , the look of the game will soon be on par 👍
I think we as Xbox players got the worst port. I hear PS5 players not having any of the weird glitches we are having. I could be wrong, but a few of the conversations I seen indicate that. Hope I'm wrong, but I seen some crappy glitches and bugs. Hope all this gets sorted out...the mirrors are another story, yikes!!! I do not even use them and play third person right now. Great vid.
It depends what console you're playing on? I'm playing on Series X and just broke 1000 miles on my truck and haven't experienced any major bugs. Other than a little pop in here and there. The game runs really smooth.
As I mentioned I'm on series X and having little to no issues , are you on series s ?

I really think its solid but im easily happy thats probl my problem. I do enjoy every bit. What stands out are so many different loads you can bring .a house on a trailer , windturbine , jet engine and many more fun things. Ig my opinion give it a try solid 7 /10 even better when rest gets fixed .

@@CGDGAMES yes it did 20% damage to my trailor and did damage to my health, Luckily I had a brand new truck with horns and bull bar so didn't do anything to my truck it was only a young deer I've seen much larger not sure if other animals are about too. 🤣🤣🤣

Not a great review at all, Lee. Firstly, the game is constantly dipping under 30fps (see Fuzion's YT review - with a FPS counter) and if you start the game on legend difficulty you'll see a whole host of visual issues in the snow. Huge swathes of ground textures flickering like crazy, pop-in (distant trees as well as roadside assets) EVERYWHERE on the map, rendering issues with snow textures, tyre tracks vanishing in the snow, vehicles disappearing, cold weather following you into stores (making it next to impossible to buy stuff), the crosshair frequently vanishing when trying to do tasks and respawn issues when using the CB radio.....
I admire your enthusiasm for ART, but 8½ out of 10 for a game that's already showing low scoring industry reviews as well as accumulating an ever growing list of issues does come across as being a bit of a rose-tinted assessment.
I've only encountered what I reported as I've been playing on regular , if I had seen the issues you had seen I would of said , and maybe yes my score would of been lower ! I'm enjoying the game , really enjoying it and having a lot of fun .

@@CGDGAMES There's absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying a game, Lee, but there's also a huge difference between liking a game and a game being good.
By my own admission I liked and enjoyed Farmer's Dynasty, not because it's a great game (we all know it isn't) but more to the fact that at that moment in time it appealed to my better nature....but I still know and recognise that no amounts of liking and/or playing will ever make it a great game. The reason why I gave it a 'rose-tinted spectacles off' 5/10 when I reviewed it.
Besides, I think we all know that if we were already blessed with a certain 'super-mega-awesome' trucking game on console then most would have enjoyed the novelty elements of ART but invariably gone back to playing what they already had.

watching this actually pissed me off on the pc version nights are still pretty much day torch and headlights do nothing really. i just really hope they dont put more effort into console version than pc version. so not happy right now. great vid but cheers.
I believe the pc version had not received any attention since the 1.5 update , now that the console version is out I reckon they will keep both versions up to date and really get to work by sorting the niggles out

Because that is an outdated console that can not run the game. There's no point in developing games for the old consoles. Games that are developed to run on xbox One are just making it hard for things to be optimized properly for the current gen. . . It's had its day, I'm afraid. .
Im enjoying this (on the PS5), whilst it does have issues ... for me, its major strength is *atmosphere*.
there's something about the scenery , the amount of roadworks, the weather... that feels like trucking in the wilderness of Alaska.
for sure ETS (or ATS) is a (way) better sim, but its almost too ambitious, it doesn't really feel like Europe, how can it... it'd be impossible to capture Munich, or even Zurich... k, ETS is not on console, but GT7/ACC also are better sims, albeit not trucking ;)
overall, I think the devs were clever, aiming for something thats much more achievable....
it does have many bugs, the wheel support is 'basic' at best, but the atmosphere/immersion it creates, its worth looking past the flaws, esp given its very reasonable price.... I really hope the dev can build on this.

It's a 5 out of 10 at best. Driving is below average. The roads aren't challenging and AI are way to slow and never overtake. The "survival" aspect is pointless. Eating and drinking are a nuisance more than enjoyable. This was a poor port. Poor performance too. And crash errors galore. We need to be calling these things out. No wonder companies keeping doing poor ports when this is accepted

@@CGDGAMES I guess mediocrity doesn't sit well with me. Driving feels dead. I just crossed 2 wooden bridges last night, very bumpy and uneven, no feedback on the controller, not a hint of vibration. There's no connection with the truck. You can speed around off road and nothing. Saddest thing I can say is the best thing about the game is the radio

It has nothing to do with getting on with Devs or developing a relationship , as I said in my review I will remain impartial and I feel I did ,.I pointed out it's flaws , but flaws aside I and many many others are seeing past them in the knowledge that they will be fixed , and are enjoying the game for what it is .

This weekend I was given access to the upcoming update to trucks and logistics , it looks great , but I did say that it's not what is needed for the game , I'm always honest ,.it's what my channel is based on , honesty and integrity .

Sorry to tell you but Series S is a weak console. Xbox should've never even made it. They were wrong for marketing it as a digital version of the series x. You're going to have issues playing most current gen games because they require a lot more power than the series s can handle. I'm playing on series x and the game plays and looks great. No crashes and minimal bugs.
A fix for the crashes has been sent to Microsoft , it's awaiting certification , should receive it in the next couple of days
im hearing all things about this game thats its ok then oh its terrible in my opinion if you have even some sort of pc/laptop from the past 10 years get euro truck simulator or my favorite american truck simulator just a bigger game fills better in every way from what ive heard and its currently on sale on steam for $2.99aud both are american and euro but for this game to be $49aud with how bad it looks and runs its a big turn off especially devs saying 4k um wtf u mean 4k it dont look like this this looks like a 720p game upscale to 1080p lol rubbish
It has it's issues , but fixes will come , the Devs are great , they really turned the pc version around , so they will do the same for this

Another terrible game reviewed as positive on this channel. Do not buy, the snow/rain has no effect on the handling, terrible AI and poor graphics. Again do not buy on this fellas recommendations.
